Robert Flanagan, Class of 2004, was recently inducted into the Rhodes College Athletic Hall of Fame. While a student at Rhodes College, Robert was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Year in both 2006 and 2007. He is still the record holder at Rhodes with 30 career wins. During the ceremony, his coach stated that “Robert is arguably the best pitcher to ever wear a Lynx Jersey.”
Robert was a four-year starter in baseball and was All State in 2004. He shares the school record for most wins in school, history with 27 and is third in strikeouts with 256. He has thrown more innings by far than any other Flyer in school history (253). As a hitter, is one of only three Flyers to have 100 RBI in a career.
Robert now lives in Houston with his wife Lauren and three children.
