Thanks to all the Flyer fans who cheered on the girls soccer team through the cold and rain on Saturday!We are headed to the state championship!! The girls beat St. Michael’s 3–0 with goals by Kennedy Jarrett, Ainsley Matlock and Madalyn Van Devender. The final game is this Tuesday at 3:30pm in Hammond at the Southeastern Louisiana University stadium. Let’s go Flyers!!
In order to allow as many students and faculty as possible to attend and support the Girls Soccer Team, this Tuesday will be a CYBER DAY. No one will physicallycome to school, but teachers may post a lesson or assignment to keep students on track. Wednesday, February 16th will be a regularly scheduled B day, but those who were at the game and traveled back late will be excused and allowed to check in.
Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 02.21.2022 – 02.25.2022. https://forms.gle/L8EPud8APi7kddkz7 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
Amended information regarding ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery): the test would have to administered during the morning of a school day, not after school as first announced. The target testing day is Wednesday, February 23. Any interested senior, junior, or sophomore should email Mrs. Alexander to sign up, unless you did previously.
The Louisiana Lions Camp in Anacoco, LA is recruiting students aged 16 and above to fill summer staff positions. They have counselor, activity instructor, and lifeguard positions available. Rising 10th, 11th, and 12 graders: interested in learning more about medical health professions? AHEC of a Summer can give you that, plus 1/2 credit in elective science, and almost 100 hours of community service and CPR certification. Apply with all required materials by March 4. Trivia Night is back! Don’t forget to register your team for this fun LPA event on March 5 in St. Vincent’s Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and include dinner and trivia. Deadline to register is 2/18/22 Get your team of 10 together and register by clicking here!
