March 1, 2022Announcements for Tuesday, March 1, 2022 - Today is an A day.
- Lent is a time for increased prayer, fasting and almsgiving! Students, to help foster a prayerful silence in the chapel, the girls' bathroom on the second floor of the residence hall will be closed during lunch. Students are not to be on the second floor residence hall during lunch unless you have an appointment with a religion teacher or you are going to the chapel for prayer. Please remember to practice silence in the hall in front of the chapel. We encourage students to use part of their lunch time during this lenten season for prayer in the chapel.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 03.07.2022 – 03.11.2022. https://forms.gle/Y9vPySpawXrKoWKw7 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
- On Friday, March 4, during Homeroom, Loyola will start holding student-led spiritual groups called St. Ignatius Community Groups. Come and join your fellow students to pray together and create a community centered on Jesus Christ. - There will be a varsity cheer interest meeting on Tuesday, March 1 at 5:30 in the Loyola Gym. This interest meeting is mandatory to try-out for the 2022-2023 season. At least one parent/guardian must be in attendance and it is recommended that all athletes trying-out attend.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. Joseph's School will be hosting an alumni event and they need volunteers to help with setting up. Volunteers are needed to help move and set up tables at the Family Life Center at St. Joseph's School at 11:00 AM on April 23rd. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Kay Nader at kay.nader@gmail.com .
- Service Hour Opportunity - Southfield School's Pie Run will be Saturday, March 5. They have several slots to fill including turn marshals, set up/breakdown, packet pick up and water stops. Volunteer opportunities are open to any student who would like to help and/or needs service hours. Sign up in the link below:

- Trivia Night is back! Don’t forget to register your team for this fun LPA event on March 5 in St. Vincent’s Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and include dinner and trivia. Deadline to register is 2/18/22 Get your team of 10 together and register by clicking here!
