Announcements for Tuesday, April 4, 2023 - Today is an A day.
There is no school Friday 4/7 for Good Friday and no school Monday 4/10 for Easter Monday.
A beautiful way to experience the Passion story and witness to others about the importance of Good Friday is to participate in the annual Stations of the Cross in downtown Shreveport. It is called The Justice Walk. Participants from many different Christian denominations walk to various places in the downtown area where community organizations lead the crowd in prayer. Participants at Providence House, First Methodist Church, Mary's House, and more come out to meet the crowd on the street, pray and sing in a public sign that Christ is the focus of this day. Every year Loyola has a wonderful turnout. We invite faculty, staff, students and their families to meet agt 8:45am behind First Methodist Church. Parking is available at First Methodist Church. Look for the large cross and the big crowd. The Shreveport Police Department will lead the procession and block off streets for the walkers safety. The walk lasts about an hour and a half. Please come out and witness to the world about Jesus!
