April 12, 2023Announcements for Wednesday, April 12, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 04.17.2023 – 04.21.2023. https://forms.gle/NaQuoyLvMh8SYZHH7 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Little Rock Tornado Fundraiser Update - On March 31st, a major tornado swept through Little Rock, Arkansas, leaving widespread destruction in its wake. Beginning on Tuesday, April 11th, the Student Government Association will be sponsoring a fundraiser to raise funds that will be sent to the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock. Each day, from Tuesday, April 11th through 7th hour on Friday, April 14th, students will have the opportunity to place their cash/check donations in a designated envelope in their religion class. Everyday the amount that each class has donated will be recorded and announced. Our goal is to raise $2,550. The final total will be announced at the Friday, April 14th pep rally, and if the donation goal of $2,550 is reached, the entire student body will receive an early lunch dismissal from April 17th to April 21st. All proceeds will be donated to the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock. We hope to have maximum student involvement. The results SGA fundraiser for Tuesday April 11th are:

- The Lady Flyers Softball Team will take on the Lady Cowboys at Southwood High School tonight at 5pm in their final regular season game. Come out and support the Lady Flyers as they continue their #comebackseason.
- The annual 5K Sam’s Run, will be held June 3rd, 2023. This Run was established to pay tribute to the memory of Sam Walker Lees. Sam’s Run helps to support and bring awareness to the Foundation that was formed in Sam’s memory. “The Look in the Mirror Foundation”, which has started a college scholarship fund. Please join us on June 3rd, with family and friends, runners, walkers of all ages to celebrate Sam’s memory with this 5K Run. The race starts at 8:00 am, on the grounds of LSUS, followed with food, beverages, music and awards. - Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteer to help with Sam's Run! Sign up by sending your name and number to email (mllees58@gmail.com), or text to 318-208-4473. You would need to arrive at LSUS at about 6:45 am on June 3rd.
- Service Hour Opportunity - Samaritan Counseling Center needs volunteers to help with their Clay Shoot Fundraiser this Saturday, (7am-noon) April 15th. Volunteers must arrive by 7:00am @ Shreveport gun club 4435 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport. . Lunch from Silver Star will be provided for free! If you would like to sign up, please call the Samaritan office at 221-6121.
- Service Hour Opportunity - Former CMM students are needed to help out at the CMM Renaissance Fair on April 21 from 1-3. There are about 15 carnival type stations that they need students to run. Only students who attended CMM will be excused from school early on that day in order to volunteer. (Volunteers will need to report by 12:30.) Once all time slots are filled, registration for volunteers will be closed. Please note you must have a (C) average or better in all classes in order to participate. - LCP Parents are invited to attend the St. John Berchmans Silent Auction event “Lights, Camera, Auction!” scheduled for Saturday, April 15 at Artspace. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. and the main event starts at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite movie stars or characters. Click here for more information.
