August 11, 2023Announcements for Friday, August 11, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 08.14.2023-08.18.2023 https://forms.gle/UUNPqqCiuervj56D6 - The deadline to order meals for the week is TODAY at 2:30 PM. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. **Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due to a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our cafeteria provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Parents and Students: Please check your Blackbaud account for any forms to be completed. If a form is showing NOT COMPLETED and the parent has signed it, then the form must be signed by the student as well. Students and parents must log into their own Blackbaud accounts to sign forms. Please do not print the forms and sign manually. Forms must be completed online.
- The deadline to turn in summer service hours is Friday, August 25th. Hours must be turned in at the main office. No service hours will be accepted via email.
- Art Club - Art club's goal is to use art to promote kindness, empathy, and compassion in both our school family and local community.
Drama Club - Drama Club is for the student who is interested in any aspect of theater. If you are interested in acting, singing, dancing, backstage, front of house, props, lighting, sound, direction, etc., Drama Club is for you!
Green Club - Green Club’s goal is to help promote a sense of community by not only growing plants, but also growing friendships and new skills through gardening and being environmentally focused!
Quiz Bowl - Quiz Bowl is a team competition where Loyola students compete with students from other schools to answer questions on a wide variety of topics from science to pop culture. If you are knowledgeable in any academic subject and want to put that knowledge to the test, this is a good club for you.
LYRA - Take part in designing, editing, and publishing Loyola's literary and visual arts magazine. You don't have to be a writer or artist to help- we need editors, managers, readers, and graphic designers as well.
- Underclassmen Yearbook Picture Day – Wednesday, Aug. 16
- Mr. Johnson will be holding a 1 hour makeup Tech Prep class immediately after school in the library computer lab today. Please bring your iPad.

- Service Hour Opportunity - Be a volunteer at the Holy Angels 42nd Annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art! Shifts vary throughout the day. Volunteers will receive one ticket to TASTE to enjoy the festivities before or after their volunteer shift. Volunteers must be 16 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Sign up here to volunteer!

- The LHSAA has updated the medical evaluation form for the 2023-24 school year. Any physicals performed on or after August 1, 2023 must be on the updated 2-page form or it will be rejected by the LHSAA. A blank copy of the new form can be printed from our website here: https://www.loyolaprep.org/athletic-forms. Please make sure your physician's office uses the correct form.
Any student with the incorrect form currently on file has been contacted already and they are still okay to practice. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].- Underclassmen Picture Day - August 16th - Please be aware that our yearbook picture day is Wednesday, Aug. 16. This year, we are asking students to wear their winter uniform for the yearbook. Students will need to arrive at school in (or bring) a blazer, oxford shirt, and tie. They are permitted to wear shorts and can change back into polos after the picture. Blazers will be available to borrow for the picture if your blazer has been ordered but has not yet come in. We appreciate everyone's patience and participation as we make this change.
- Parents: The LPA will soon be publishing a Student Directory. The information in the directory will include names, phone numbers, emails and addresses of students and parents. If you do not want your or your child's information published, please contact the registrar this week at 226-6284 or [email protected].
