August 14, 2023Announcements for Monday, August 14, 2023 - Today is an A day.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 08.21-08.26.2023. https://forms.gle/tTVn6LEDHStA9R379 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- The 5th annual "Run, Run, Snoopy 5K" Saturday August 26 will be full of fun, great food from Dillas, snow cones and cool prizes!

- The deadline to turn in summer service hours is Friday, August 25th. Hours must be turned in at the main office. No service hours will be accepted via email.
- FAiTH - Faith in Action - Aiding the less fortunate in our community at Christmastime with food baskets.
FCA - The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high, and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire, and change the world through the gospel. Flyers For Life - Flyers for Life is a Pro-Life organization who believes all human life is beautiful, created in the image and likeness of God, and needs to be protected from conception to natural death.
Mini Vinnie - Mini Vinnie is a high school chapter of Shreveport’s St. Vincent de Paul Society. The chapter leader will hold meetings during lunch once a month and we will aid them in community service, fundraisers, and food/clothing drives.
Faith On Fire - Faith on Fire wants students who are seeking authentic Christian lives filled with excitement, joy, and spirituality. This group is on fire and will engage in activities and services that reach beyond the walls of Loyola, bringing Christ to our Community! Past activities of this organization have included Bonfires, St. Joseph Altars, and hosting Trunk or Treating for children just to name a few! We live our faith boldly and we want you!
- Underclassmen Yearbook Picture Day – Wednesday, Aug. 16
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. John Berchmans School will be hosting its annual Monster Mash on Saturday, October 28th. They need volunteers from 2:00 - 7:00 PM to help with setup and clean-up. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Leah Feldt at 318-423-7210 or [email protected] .
- Service Hour Opportunity - Be a volunteer at the Holy Angels 42nd Annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art! Shifts vary throughout the day. Volunteers will receive one ticket to TASTE to enjoy the festivities before or after their volunteer shift. Volunteers must be 16 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Sign up here to volunteer!

- Parents and Students: Please check your Blackbaud account for any forms to be completed. If a form is showing NOT COMPLETED and the parent has signed it, then the form must be signed by the student as well. Students and parents must log into their own Blackbaud accounts to sign forms. Please do not print the forms and sign manually. Forms must be completed online.
- The LHSAA has updated the medical evaluation form for the 2023-24 school year. Any physicals performed on or after August 1, 2023 must be on the updated 2-page form or it will be rejected by the LHSAA. A blank copy of the new form can be printed from our website here: https://www.loyolaprep.org/athletic-forms. Please make sure your physician's office uses the correct form. Any student with the incorrect form currently on file has been contacted already and they are still okay to practice. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].
- Underclassmen Picture Day - August 16th - Please be aware that our yearbook picture day is Wednesday, Aug. 16. This year, we are asking students to wear their winter uniform for the yearbook. Students will need to arrive at school in (or bring) a blazer, oxford shirt, and tie. They are permitted to wear shorts and can change back into polos after the picture. Blazers will be available to borrow for the picture if your blazer has been ordered but has not yet come in. We appreciate everyone's patience and participation as we make this change.
- Parents: The LPA will soon be publishing a Student Directory. The information in the directory will include names, phone numbers, emails and addresses of students and parents. If you do not want your or your child's information published, please contact the registrar this week at 226-6284 or [email protected].
