September 25, 2023Announcements for Monday, September 25, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15th - October 15th! The US has the second largest Hipanic population worldwide, as of 2019 with 52.6 million. Only Mexico’s population, with 130 million, is larger than the US.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10.02.2023-10.06.2023. https://forms.gle/yYJN9JnWUGXFWN7o7 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions. FRESHMEN will be at retreat on Monday October 2nd and will need to check NONE for that day when ordering for the week.
- Volleyball (FR/V/JV) tonight vs.Parkway in the Loyola gym beginning at 4:00PM.
- JV Football tonight at 5:30PM at Glenbrook.
- Blood Drive October 4th - The BloodMobile will be here Wednesday, October 4th for our LCP Fall Blood Drive! You must be 16 years old to donate. Schedule an appointment to donate here. Loyola requires a Minor Donor Permit signed by a parent/guardian for all student donors regardless of the student's age. Download Minor Donor Permit here.
- All F.A.i.T.H. Officers and Members need to pay dues and select t-shirt size through myschoolbucks by October 1st.
- The Youth in 6th through 12th grades in the Diocese of Shreveport are invited to 2023 Gather. 2023 Gather will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 6:00-9:30 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church (4700 Palmetto Road, Benton, La 71006). The cost is $10 but please don't let that stop you from attending. This event will be an opportunity for youth throughout the deanery to “Gather” for food, fellowship, faith, and fun! The speaker for the event is Braden Johnson. He will speak about creating a culture of young people who are passionate and excited about their faith! Sign up forms are in each Religion teacher's classrooms and questions will be answered there. Sign up early!
- For the month of September, we ask that all students donate personal hygiene products for the Be Blessed Bags. These bags are for boys and girls in need in the Caddo school system. MiniVinnies will be collecting donations in the Religion classrooms until September 29th. Several of the regular-sized items to donate are as follows: toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion, and soap. See the full list of items in your religion class. - Service Hour Opportunity - St. Mark’s Cathedral School is searching for volunteers to help at the first Kids on the Run Race!

Parent Announcements- There will be a Senior Trip parent interest meeting held on Wednesday at 5:30PM in the cafeteria.
- Senior Parents- Please do not forget to purchase your Senior Seating or Sponsorship Tables for this year's Style Show. Sales end October 13th. They are available for purchase on MSB, Venmo @LCP-LPA, or by cash or check to the Anderson Building. If paying online, please fill out green "Sponsorship" form or yellow "Senior Seating" form and email it to the appropriate Chair. We can't wait to "Twist, Rock and Hip Hop Through the Decades" with you.
- Loyola Rosary Group - Every Wednesday at 1:30 pm the Loyola Rosary group will gather to pray for the needs and intentions of our school - our students, their families, the faculty, and administration as well as our community. All mothers, grandmothers, and alumni are welcome and encouraged to participate. Experience praying the rosary is not necessary, we especially welcome all first-timers. Meditating on the divine mercies gives us a chance to transcend daily stress and focus on God. Please consider lifting our school in prayer and join us for one, several or all gatherings on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm in the Residence Building Chapel.

- 2023-2024 Student Directories are available for purchase in the Anderson Building or at LPA meetings. Cost is $5.00 cash or check payable to LPA (Loyola Parents Association.
