- Interested in a medical career? Come to a meeting at 12pm Wednesday, November 2, with a representative from A-HEC of a Summer, a local program that allows students to shadow local practicing healthcare professionals. This is a great addition to your college application! Please email Mrs. Clark to sign up for the visit.
- Maggie Lee’s Closet is looking for volunteers for this Saturday, October 29th from 11-1 at the Highland Center to help collect unwrapped toys for the Highland Christmas Shoppe. Contact Mrs Goodman if interested.
- The Halloween Edition of The Show and the Hype Video will be shown in the gym at lunch today.
- Next week, FAITH ON FIRE! will be collecting water for Christian Service to help provide food and drink to the homeless and other citizens in need. Please buy water this weekend and prepare to bring it to the cafeteria before school one day next week. Our goal is 1500 bottles of water. Please help us reach this goal for a wonderful organization.
- Students who signed up to be a member of (Flyers Aiding the Hungry) FAiTH, the deadline to pay your dues is Monday, October 31. - ST. JOHN BERCHMANS SCHOOL NEEDS MORE VOLUNTEERS for their Monster Mash on Saturday, October 29th. Only 11 people have signed up so far and they need twice that many. Volunteers will be needed from 2:00pm - 7:00pm. Any hours you would be available would be appreciated. - Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10.24.2022-10.28.2022. https://forms.gle/dDmSpLJdxRaB83eTA - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- The BloodMobile will be here Monday, November 7th for our LCP Blood Drive. Sign up here to donate! You must be 16 years old to donate. Loyola requires a Minor Donor Permit signed by a parent/guardian for all student donors regardless of the student's age. Download Minor Donor Permit here.
- St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Flournoy Lucas Road has a Fall Fest this Sunday. October 30th. Loyola provides students and cars for the Trunk or Treat portion of the event. If you want to gain 3 service hours and have a good time doing it, we have a few slots left. Email MS. Brown or sign up on the religion floor bulletin board by R204. It is from 11 to 2 this Sunday.
- Flyers, ‘We Got the Beat’ on the Style Show Bodacious Baskets sweepstakes ticket sales contest. The SENIORS are ‘Walking On Sunshine’ as the current leaders but the JUNIORS ‘Wanna Be Startin Something’ moving into second place after Fall Break. SOPHOMORES and FRESHMAN are ‘Holding Out for a Hero’ to break their current tie. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to ‘Bust A Move’ and win the Pajama Day and Ice Cream treat. You can ‘Rock This Town’ by purchasing tickets at www.myschoolbucks.com, w/cash/check in the Anderson Bldg., or through Venmo @LCP-LPA. ‘The Winner Takes It All’ when the contest ends on Nov 4.

- The Loyola Tennis team is hosting a Mixer on Saturday, November 19th at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club. All parents, students, alumni and friends are invited to play. The cost is $80 for adults and $40 for students. This includes a burger bar, drinks, live music, the LSU game on TV and a fun night of tennis. Even if you don’t play tennis you can purchase a social pass for $40 and watch an exhibition from the Loyola tennis team.
