November 5, 2021Announcements for Friday, November 5, 2021 - Today is a B day.
- Style Show Groups 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 have practice this Sunday, November 7th, in the gym, from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. The times for each group are as follows:
Group 9 (1 – 2)
Group 6 (2 – 3)
Group 8 (3 – 4)
Group 10 (4 – 5)- Coats for Kids - Now through November 17th, Porter's Cleaners will be collecting donations of new & gently used coats. There is a drop-off box located in the Loyola office. Last year, with your help, Coats for Kids was able to distribute 1500 coats across our cities!
- Congratulations to the Loyola Cross Country Team for finishing in 3rd place at the Last Chance XC Meet in Ruston last night with over 17 PR's! The Girls Team was led by Aidan Heard who finished (4th place) overall and set another course record for Loyola with a time of 20 minutes and 22 seconds (20:22.00) followed by Kate Fortune, Bridget John, Caroline Henry, Mary Walker, Sarah Roppolo and Adriana Martin. The Boys Team ran faster than ever with an average time of 17 minutes and 6 seconds (17:06.20) led by Tripp Roemer (4th place), Jonah Drouillard (8th place), Mark Henry, Jackson Drouillard and Elliott White followed by Jackson McNeill, Rhys Armagost, Barro Massad, Patrick Haynes, Thomas Yokem, Matthew Fortune, Andrew Kim, Reese Mekelburg and Cole Copper. Godspeed at State Flyers!

- Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans—living or dead—but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime Loyola has partnered with an organization to provide hand written thank you cards to local veterans. We could use your help to show how much Loyola supports and appreciates our veterans. Please come to the main office where materials are available to create a letter to thank a veteran. Students who write 10 letters will receive a service hour.
