Announcements for 3/31/25/25 - B Day - LATE START
LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 03.31.2025-04.04.2025. https://forms.gle/AMcte2bEe2chAvb68 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the student’s Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
LACROSSE: If you are going to be in the Lafayette area this weekend, the varsity Loyola Lacrosse team has an away game at Southside High School Friday, April 4th at 5:30pm against St. Paul’s. Come support your Flyers if you are in the area!!
FISHING CLUB: Loyola's Fishing Club is on a roll with another LCP first! The team of Shep Roos and Ryan Triche placed 4th and the team of Micah Strong and Ethan Kindred placed 5th at the Lake Bistineau tournament on Saturday. This is the first time 2 teams from our school have placed in the top 5 in the same tournament.
TRACK: Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams for finishing 3rd overall at the Michael Jiles Relays! Joshua Lirette placed 1st in pole vault. Hayden DeBroeck placed 1st in pole vault. Grace Shepherd received 1st in the 800. Reese Jacobs finished 1st in the 1600. Mathis Stanberry brought home 2nd place in the 800. Hayden Knight finished 2nd in discus. Bella Cascio won 2nd in the 3200. Ella Poole earned 3rd in long jump. Georgia Genovese placed 3rd in high jump. Reese Jacobs finished 3rd in the 3200. Kathryn Elberson won 3rd in 100 meter hurdles. Annie Ballard, Caroline Walls, Analeigh Turner, and Anna Pham received 3rd place in the 4x800 meter relay.

SGA is also hosting its final art contest this week, poetry. The most visually unique and appealing poem submitted by the end of the week will receive $50.
FRENCH CLUB: There is a new French club at Loyola and the first meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd during the first half of lunch in Madame Barnett’s room (room 205). It is open to any students that are interested.

BASKETBALL RUMMAGE SALE: On Saturday, April 5th, from 8 am - 12 pm, the boy's and girl's basketball teams will hold the inaugural Loyola Basketball Spring Rummage Sale. This is a fundraiser for both teams. Loyola Basketball Rummage Sale.png
SENIOR PARENTS: The deadline for Casino Night reservation/donation/volunteer is Friday, April 11. Tickets for the party are $110 per senior. This includes all food, drinks, entertainment and prizes. Checks should be made payable to Loyola Parents’ Association, with Casino Night in the memo section. Please submit the reservation form sent to your email with payment to the school office.
REGISTRATION: Registration for the 2025-2026 school year has begun. Please make sure your account has been created in FACTS in order to start the registration process. The link for information to create the FACTS Family Portal account is: https://factsmgt.com/
The deadline to register is Monday, March 17. After that date, the registration fee will increase to $500.
LA GATOR: **New 2025-2026 School Choice Funding Opportunity through the State of Louisiana, LA Gator**
Student applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open on March 1 and will be available at lagator.la.gov. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2025.
Prepare in advance and check your eligibility by reviewing the LA GATOR eligibility requirements to ensure you qualify and use the eligibility pre-screener to check your status.
STUDENT LEAD ROSARY: Student-led rosary every Tuesday at 7:15 am in the St. Michael Chapel. All students, faculty, and parents are welcome.
PARENT ROSARY: Loyola Parent Rosary Group will meet to pray the rosary every Wednesday at 1:30pm in St. Michael's Chapel. All parents are welcome to attend. Also, please email [email protected] with any prayer requests or questions.
SHIP: Support for Humanitarianism through Intercontinental Projects (SHIP) through LSU Health Shreveport will be hosting Pre-Med Day for high school students on Sunday, April 13th, 2025. Attached is a flyer with further information about the event.

SJB VBS: Looking for Mountains of Fun! Volunteer for the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans VBS - True North, Trusting Jesus in a wild world. June 2nd - 6th 2025 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Volunteers are required to attend each day of VBS to help children learn in a fun creative way how we can Trust Jesus in all things. Volunteers can earn up to 20 plus hours, beginning on May 30, 2025, with orientation and volunteering the entire week of VBS.

SJS: Sporting clay tournament at the Shreveport Gun Club to benefit St. Joseph School. Volunteers are needed the day of the event, Saturday April 5. The times for volunteers would be from 11am-1pm.The duties would include calculating scores and picking up spent hulls and signage after the tournament has ended. GARDEN PARK:Garden Park meets every Wednesday, from 3 pm - 4 pm, at 9111 Linwood Avenue. Each week we participate in different and fun activities with the residents of Garden Park. For more information on this service hour opportunity, please contact Ms. Barker.
GREENWOOD CLEANUP DAY: The Town of Greenwood is coming together with Louisiana for "Love the Boot Week", which is Louisiana's largest litter removal and beautification effort. Citizens, volunteers, and law enforcement within the town along with town leaders, are volunteering their time on April 5, beginning at 8am to do an "outside-In" clean-up effort of the town. We will begin on the outskirts and work toward the center of town where we will all meet and fellowship at William Peter's Town Park.
