LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here:   Week of 04.28.2025-05.02.2025.  https://forms.gle/gdoHzWDQhGi8GWoc9 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the student’s Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home.  No exceptions.

MAY CROWING:  In the Catholic faith, the month of May is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. On May 1st @ 7:30 am, we will begin our monthly celebration with the Crowning of Mary and with prayer. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to honor Mary by bringing flowers and roses to place before her. We will meet at the Mary statue, in the small Memorial Garden in front of the Residence Building, and pray 3 Hail Marys for an increase in faith, hope, and charity.

HAPPY BELLY’S: Happy Belly’s will be coming to Loyola THURSDAY (4/24/25). Cash and card will be accepted.

ATTENTION: Loyola Spirit Groups is pleased to announce the re-formation of the LCP drumline. Trey Fergerson, a former drum major, will be working with all interested students. GREEN CLUB: We are excited to announce the re-establishment of the Green Club at LCP. The Green Club is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and action within our school and local community. Whether you’re passionate about recycling, climate change, conservation, or simply want to make a positive difference, this is the place for you! There will be an Interest Meeting on April 22nd during the first half of lunch in Room 102. 

BOY’S SOCCER: Join us for a boys soccer interest meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, right after school in the St. Vincent cafeteria! The meeting starts at 2:45 PM and will last about 15-20 minutes. Come learn more and get involved!

VOLLEYBALL:  LCP Volleyball Tryouts will be April 29th and 30th from 4-5:30 pm for JV and Varsity. Incoming Freshman tryouts are May 19th from 6-7:30 pm.

There will be a volleyball parent meeting (all grades) from 7-7:30 in the gym after Freshman Fireup on April 28th. 

PROM: Tickets will go on sale today at 3pm.  The tickets will be $50.  The prom is April 26th from 8-10pm at the Remington Suites. Valet parking is included in the ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the following link: https://gofan.co/event/3499005?schoolId=LA23475

Prom night is almost here and we want to make it a special one for all our seniors!

A buffet dinner is being held at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club for the entire senior class and their dates. It will be $35 to attend. This fee is required whether you plan to eat or not.

Transportation is not included.

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:

SJB VBS: Looking for Mountains of Fun!  Volunteer for the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans  VBS - True North, Trusting Jesus in a wild world.  June 2nd - 6th 2025 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Volunteers are required to attend each day of VBS to help children learn in a fun creative way how we can Trust Jesus in all things.  Volunteers can earn up to 20 plus hours, beginning on May 30, 2025, with orientation and volunteering the entire week of VBS.

SJS: Sporting clay tournament at the Shreveport Gun Club to benefit St. Joseph School. Volunteers are needed the day of the event, Saturday May 17. The times for volunteers would be from 11am-1pm.The duties would include calculating scores and picking up spent hulls and signage after the tournament has ended. FOOD BANK: Food Bank of NWLA  has a need for volunteers!! We’re reaching out to our amazing community to help fill the gap! Martha's Market and the Senior Box Distribution need volunteers for April!

GARDEN PARK: There will not be a Garden Park visit next week because it is Holy Week.

The following days are the last Garden Park visits of the school year.

Garden Park meets every Wednesday, from 3 pm - 4 pm, at 9111 Linwood Avenue. Each week we participate in different and fun activities with the residents of Garden Park. For more information on this service hour opportunity, please contact Ms. Barker.

DOG OUT DAY: Volunteer to walk dogs at Bossier Animal Shelter. Our goal is for every dog to get a walk. Experience is not required. Both big and small dogs are available for walks. You may attend either or both dates. You are welcome to come for part of the time if you can’t do the whole time. The date is  April 19th, 2025, 10:00 to 3:00. Anyone over 18 can participate on their own. If you are under 18 you can participate with a parent/guardian. The address is Bossier City Animal Control 3217 Old Shed Road, Bossier City, LA 71111. FIGHT CANCER: Lilly, a sophomore at Byrd and member of the golf team, whose father is an LCP graduate, is bravely battling Stage 3/4 ALCL-ALK+ (Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma) and is currently undergoing treatment at St. Jude in Memphis, where she will be for the next 6 months. Join us to support Lilly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Querbes Golf Course!  Cousin’s Cajun Market and The Italian Ice Shop Food Trucks will be serving from  2:30 – 6:30 PM, and a portion of all food sales will go to the Allen family.
