- Today is Day 3 of National Catholic Schools Week and today we celebrate our Nation! Our nation has a long history of its citizens supporting education. Listen for directives as to ways to win prizes if you can demonstrate your patriotism and/or knowledge of America! For example, the first student to email Ms. Brown at mbrown@loyolaprep.org the name of the oldest university in the country will win a prize! Good Luck.
- Rising 10th, 11th, and 12 graders: interested in learning more about medical health professions? AHEC of a Summer can give you that, plus 1/2 credit in elective science, and almost 100 hours of community service and CPR certification. Apply with all required materials by March 4. - The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) would not only be good testing practice for the ACT but would also provide good vocational aptitude feedback for students. If any student would be interested in taking the ASVAB one afternoon after school in the next few weeks, notify Mrs. Alexander by this Friday, Feb. 4th.
- SOCCER PLAYOFF GAME TONIGHT: The boys' soccer team will have their first playoff game Wednesday night at Messmer Stadium at 5:30 against DeRidder. Raisin’ Cane’s chicken will be provided for all students who attend. Come see us on the patio in front of the field house! Additionally, due to the generosity of the Boys’ Soccer parents, all Loyola students will get in free with their ID. - Soccer fans!! Plan to cheer on the girls team against E.D. White this Sunday afternoon at Messmer at their first playoff game! Time is still to be determined but students will get in free —thanks to contributions from our parents!—and there will be cash or gift card drawings for LCP students! Let’s help our soccer girls get that WIN to start the playoffs!!
- The Loyola Varsity Lacrosse team won 2 out of 3 preseason scrimmages in Plano, TX last weekend beating both John Paul II and Bishop Lynch High Schools.
- Get ready to boogie down with your date for this year's Sadies on February 12, 2022 from 8 to 10pm in the New Compound at Loyola! Girls will ask dates for this dance! They can ask a friend, boyfriend, or go solo to the dance. Be thinking of some outfit ideas, as you and your date will wear matching costumes, sweatshirts, or T-shirts!
