February 18, 2022Announcements for Friday, February 18, 2022 - TODAY IS A VIRTUAL DAY.
- Students, please check your email and Google Classroom for your assignments and classes. Teachers will post assignments by 8am and students are responsible for their work.
- School will be closed Monday, February 21st in observance of President's Day.
- Amended information regarding ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery): the test would have to be administered during the morning of a school day, not after school as first announced. The target testing day is Wednesday, February 23. Any interested senior, junior, or sophomore should email Mrs. Alexander to sign up, unless you did previously.
- The Louisiana Lions Camp in Anacoco, LA is recruiting students aged 16 and above to fill summer staff positions. They have counselor, activity instructor, and lifeguard positions available. Camp session is 6 weeks, but hires are for 7, with a week of orientation and training; new staff report June 14. Go to https://lionscamp.org/, click Staff, then click 'Apply Here'. - Rising 10th, 11th, and 12 graders: interested in learning more about medical health professions? AHEC of a Summer can give you that, plus 1/2 credit in elective science, and almost 100 hours of community service and CPR certification. Apply with all required materials by March 4. - Service Hour Opportunity - Mary’s House of Louisiana is requesting 2 students every Tuesday evening for the next few weeks from 5:45-8 pm to assist with childcare. Please contact Marci Moore at 903-926-2017 or [email protected] if interested in service hours!

- The LPA will host its monthly meeting Wednesday, February 23rd at the Catholic Center (3500 Fairfield Ave.) at 12:00. The LPA hopes to see you there!
- Trivia Night is back! Don’t forget to register your team for this fun LPA event on March 5 in St. Vincent’s Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and include dinner and trivia. Deadline to register is 2/18/22 Get your team of 10 together and register by clicking here!
