February 24, 2023Announcements for Friday, February 24, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- Boys Basketball Playoffs! - Our first round home playoff game will be a WHITE OUT game at 6pm on Friday, February 24 vs. Sarah T. Reed. Because we have entered the playoffs, your season passes are no longer valid due to LHSAA regulations. Tickets are $7 each, and everyone has to purchase a ticket, including LCP students and faculty. Purchase tickets here - https://gofan.co/app/school/LA23475 (FOR THIS GAME ONLY, current Loyola students will get in free with their student ID.) Remember to wear white!
- Tuesday, February 28th is a late start day.
- There will be a Quiz Bowl Club meeting during the 1st half of lunch on Friday in the Biology Lab.
- Juniors and Seniors interested in Media Arts, photography, or advertising should sign up for a creativity workshop hosted by Full Sail University on Tuesday, February 28. During the interactive workshop, students will have the opportunity to create a range of design-oriented projects and learn how creativity can translate into a multitude of entertainment, media, arts, and technology careers. - Service Hour Opportunity - Ms.Pulliam has a service hour opportunity for helping to assemble Rosaries. No experience needed. Contact Ms.Pulliam.
- Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for the upcoming St. Joseph Devoted Women’s Conference on Friday, February 24, and Saturday, February 25. SIgn up here - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4EA8A922A1FBC25-devoted1
- Service Hour Opportunity - The 9th annual Snoopy Shootout (trap shoot contest), which is sponsored by the Loyola Alumni Association, will be held on Saturday March 11th at the Shreveport Gun Club. They need help with the shooting stations and other areas. You will receive 5 service hours for working from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. You will receive training on all safety procedures. You will be provided with food and drinks. Email coach Mawhinney if you are interested in helping.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. Mark’s is the host school for Kids on the Run race and is looking for 6 volunteers to work the registration table and help along the course route.

Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- The Loyola Flyers Lacrosse teams will kick off their 2023 season this week!
Students get in free with their LCP ID and tickets are $5 at the gate.
The first JV game of the season will be on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:45 pm vs. Rockwall (TX) and will be played at CE Byrd.
