Announcements for March 6, 2024 - Today is a B day.- Bowling match today vs. Huntington at All Star Lanes at 3:45 PM.
- Softball takes on North Caddo today at 5:30 PM at St. Vincent's Field.
- Baseball plays today at Haughton at 6:00 PM.
- Business Club meeting during the first half of lunch today in room R301.
- Softball Player Anna Morris has been nominated for Shreveport Times Athlete of the Week! Vote for Anna here!
- There will be a tennis match vs. Byrd Thursday at ERCC. The Flyer Girl’s tennis team is heading to Mobile, AL next weekend for the National High School Spring Tournament hosted by McGill Toolen. The Girl’s team will be one of 50 teams in this event. Good Luck to the Lady Flyer’s tennis team!
- There will be an interest meeting for underclassmen interested in restarting the LCP Chess Club. The meeting will be during second half of lunch Friday March 22 in room 100.
- Applications for the Flyer Alumni Association and St. Vincent's Academy Alumnae Association are now being accepted for the 2024-25 school year. Visit www.loyolaprep.org/scholarship-programs to apply. The application deadline for both scholarships is April 5, 2024.
Applications may be turned in to the Anderson Building or sent to the email address listed on the application forms.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 03.18.2024 – 03.22.2024. https://forms.gle/SWEde cs24 kFX AWBA - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY March 15th at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Divine Mercy Chaplet will be said during the first half of lunch every Friday during the remainder of Lent.
- Service Hour Opportunity- Help paint the walls of room 203 in Loyola colors over Spring Break. Contact Ms.Pulliam at [email protected] or in room 203 for details.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. John Berchmans is looking for reliable student volunteers for their Vacation Bible School - Scuba, Divining into Friendship with God from Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 7th.
- Service Hour Opportunity - LCP Volunteers are still needed for the Immaculee Retreat on Friday March 8th and Saturday, March 9th at the Catholic Center, 3500 Fairfield Avenue 71101. Help is needed with setup, welcome, greet, crowd flow, carpool assistance, etc. There will be two talks each day, a bookstore, Saturday morning mass, book signing and refreshments daily.

- Service Hour Opportunity - The Overton Brooks VA Employee Association is hosting an Easter egg hunt on March 23, 2024 from 8:30 - 12:00 for children ages 0-10 years old. (Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, 510 E. Stoner Avenue, Shreveport). They need assistance with food distribution, leading egg hunters, face painting, leading games and craft projects. Parent Announcements- The LPA meeting scheduled for TODAY is canceled for this month due to the conflict with Teacher Appreciation Week. Therefore, the LPA will add a meeting in April on Wednesday, April 3rd at noon at the Catholic Center in the library.
- The deadline to register your student for the 2024-25 school year and pay the $300 registration fee is Friday, March 15. After this date the registration fee will increase to $500. Please note that March 15 is also the deadline if you wish to apply for Tuition Assistance.
- Loyola Rosary Group - The Rosary Group will not gather next week. We hope you all have a wonderful and restful Spring Break. We will resume the week of March 18th with Monday Morning Rosary Workout at 8 AM in the Volleyball Lounge located in the gym and our small prayer group Wednesdays at 1:30pm.
