March 10, 2022Announcements for Thursday, March 10, 2022 - Today is a B day.
- Spring college visit TODAY at 8:50 (end of 5th). Baylor University. Jrs and Srs sign up in Naviance.
- All finalists who competed in Flyers and Buyers did a great job last night. Congratulations to this year's champion Carigan Carr, who pitched Blank Canvas Tutoring and won $500 cash as well as a $1000 scholarship to Louisiana Tech. This year's runner-up project, Med Print, pitched by Elliott White, Jonah Drouillard, and Tristian Dupuis received $250 cash and a $500 scholarship to Louisiana Tech. Great job, guys! And thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support.
- The Flyer Softball team takes on Green Oaks tonight in a district game at St. Vincent’s Field beginning at 5pm. Come out and cheer on your Lady Flyers!
- The varsity lacrosse team will play at Byrd High School on Friday, March 11 at 7pm. Come out and support our Flyers!
- Congratulations to the FAiTH Chairmen for 2022: Audrey Dufrene, Ashton Farr, and Maggie Hodges! Information concerning officer applications will be out soon.
- Congratulations to the boys tennis team on defeating St. Marys yesterday 4-0. Sanders Graf, Brannigan Bissell, Tripp Roemer and Collier White won their matches. The girls lost 6-2. Taylor Nash, Mary Elberson, Julia Hancock and Katelyn Pavlick won their matches.
- Rising 10th and 11th graders: increase your reading speed and comprehension, increase your writing, vocab, and textbook skills. Summer online Zoom classes are available, once a week for 6 weeks. Contact LSU Online and Continuing Education at 800-715-1498 to sign up.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 03.14-03.18.2022. https://forms.gle/VAXU6JBie4iABH546 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
- The Uniform Closet is fully stocked with spring uniforms. Polo shirts, khaki shorts, plaid skirts, spirit shirts and other accessories are only $2 each. - Service Hour Opportunity - St. Joseph's School will be hosting an alumni event and they need volunteers to help with setting up. Volunteers are needed to help move and set up tables at the Family Life Center at St. Joseph's School at 11:00 AM on April 23rd. - Service Hour Opportunity - The Muses Book Bazaar at Centenary College needs volunteers to help organize, shelve books, and assist customers on March 25th and 26th. There are multiple shifts available. If you are interested, please sign up in the Loyola office.
