This week SGA is honoring all the academic departments that make the academic excellence pillar of Loyola shine. Loyola has been publishing its own literary book, LYRA, for a few years now. The English teachers are to thank for our students' writing abilities. If you see Mrs. Basinger, Mrs. Johnson (former english teacher), Coach Sella, Mrs. Hodges, and Mrs. Clark, please give them a big "thank you". Make sure to show off your pocket poem on your backpack or shirt!

Multimedia will present the Spring Break Edition of The Show tomorrow during lunch.
The varsity lacrosse team will be traveling to Alexandria this Saturday, March 19. They will be playing Isidore Newman at 1pm and Brother Martin at 4pm. Both games will take place at the LSU-A soccer field (8100 Hwy 71 South, Alexandria,LA 71302). Come out and support your Loyola Flyers Lacrosse Teams!
SGA Elections … Prepare for Take-off! Attention students interested in running for an SGA office next year! An interest meeting for the Executive Board Candidates is Friday, March 18. An interest meeting for the Class Office Candidates will be Wednesday, April 6 during lunch in the Gym. Please check your email for the “Flight Plan” and more information on how you can run as a candidate.
FAiTH officer applications are due by Thursday March 17th. All rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to apply. The applications can be found in the main office, Ms Hymel’s office, from the religion teachers, or one of the chairmen.
Rising 10th and 11th graders:increase your reading speed and comprehension, increase your writing, vocab, and textbook skills. Summer online Zoom classes are available, once a week for 6 weeks. Contact LSU Online and Continuing Education at 800-715-1498 to sign up.
**Service Hour Opportunity with the American Red Cross**
Volunteers needed for Sound the Alarm. Volunteers will put out yard signs and door hangers in specific neighborhoods on Mondays and Fridays as follows: April 29 and May 6, 9, 13, and 16. Specific times those days are flexible, and we can work around your schedule. Service Hour Opportunity - St. Joseph's School will be hosting an alumni event and they need volunteers to help with setting up. Volunteers are needed to help move and set up tables at the Family Life Center at St. Joseph's School at11:00 AM on April 23rd. Service Hour Opportunity - The Muses Book Bazaar at Centenary College needs volunteers to help organize, shelve books, and assist customers on March 25th and 26th. There are multiple shifts available. If you are interested, please sign up in the Loyola office.
