April 5, 2024Announcements for April 5, 2024 - Today is an A day.
- The offices of Senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, Speaker Mike Johnson and Representative Julia Letlow will be hosting Service Academy Day on the campus of LSU-Shreveport on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The event will be at the University Center Theatre, with registration opening at 8:30 AM and the event beginning at 9 AM. All high school students and their parents, as well as school officials, are welcome to attend for free. - Baseball (V) takes on North Caddo tonight at 5:00PM at Cicero Field.
- Don’t forget to sign up for the Flyer Alumni Association’s first Pickleball Tournament April 19-21! Students and parents are BOTH encouraged to participate. Click here to register!
- FAiTH Officer forms are available in Ms. Hymel's office. You may stop by anytime to pick one up. The completed form is due by Wednesday, April 10, no exceptions. No electronic submissions, ALL forms must be handed in only to Ms. Hymel, by the end of lunch on Wednesday, April 10. We are looking forward to a hugely successful FAiTH Day 2024!
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 04.08-04.12.2024. https://forms.gle/ohJeycXwt21VWV249 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.

- Prom will be held at Loyola on Saturday April 6, 8-10pm.

- Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed on Saturday, April 13th for a sporting clay tournament at the Shreveport Gun Club to benefit St. Joseph School. The times for volunteers would be from 11am-1pm. (no later than 1pm, would most likely end slightly sooner). The duties would include calculating scores and picking up spent hulls and signage after the tournament has ended. Volunteers can contact Andrew Pringle via email ([email protected]) or phone 318.347.5227 in order to sign up.
- Service Hour Opportunity - The Hispanic Heritage Association of Northwest Louisiana is looking for volunteers on April 27th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 pm to collaborate on the kids area at the TACO WARS in the Municipal Auditorium. Volunteers will help with kids and crafts and keeping supplies organized. Volunteers will work in turns of 2 hours minimum.

- Loyola Rosary Group - The Rosary Group will begin to pray for the Senior Class of 2024. We welcome any senior parents who would like to join us in the weeks ahead as we pray for their students. This week our intentions are focused on the success and future of Mary Crawford, Lindsay Defatta, Lillie Doege, Maddie Ebarb, Mary Marzelle Elberson, Matthew Frierson, Jude Gaitan, Sarah Ellis Genovese, Grace Ghali, Maggie Googe, Sanders Graf, Rowen Guthikonda William Hardtner, Hugh Herzog, Sydney Hight, Henry Hoang, Laney Holbron, Landon Hooper, Tyler Hornsby, and Colin Huckabay. May God bless and watch over these students as they graduate from Loyola and enter into the next chapter of their lives.
We will resume the Monday Morning Rosary Workout at 8 AM in the Volleyball Lounge on Monday, April 8th and Rosary Prayer group Wednesdays at 1:30pm in the Resident's Chapel or outside if the weather is nice.
