Announcements for April 10, 2024 -Today is a B day.
The offices of Senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, Speaker Mike Johnson and Representative Julia Letlow will be hosting Service Academy Day on the campus of LSU-Shreveport on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The event will be at the University Center Theatre, with registration opening at 8:30 AM and the event beginning at 9 AM. All high school students and their parents, as well as school officials, are welcome to attend for free. Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 04.15-04.19.2024. https://forms.gle/1TBZFqYHFFFZvoZD9- The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
Are you wondering what to do with your eclipse glasses after Monday's eclipse? You can donate them to Astronomers Without Borders to be used by school children in South America during the annular solar eclipse in August of 2024. Please bring your undamaged glasses to the office or to Ms. Burke's room (201) by Friday, 4/12/24, to recycle your eclipse glasses.
There will be a Mu Alpha Theta meeting during the first half of lunch.

FAiTH Officer forms are available in Ms. Hymel's office. You may stop by anytime to pick one up. The completed form is due by Wednesday, April 10, no exceptions. No electronic submissions, ALL forms must be handed in only to Ms. Hymel, by the end of lunch on Wednesday, April 10. We are looking forward to a hugely successful FAiTH Day 2024!
Service Hour Opportunity for former SJB Students- SJB's field day will be Friday, May 10 from 8 to 11:30 and volunteers are needed. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at [email protected]. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.
Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed on Saturday, April 13th for a sporting clay tournament at the Shreveport Gun Club to benefit St. Joseph School. The times for volunteers would be from 11am-1pm. (no later than 1pm, would most likely end slightly sooner). The duties would include calculating scores and picking up spent hulls and signage after the tournament has ended. Service Hour Opportunity - The Hispanic Heritage Association of Northwest Louisiana is looking for volunteers on April 27th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 pm to collaborate on the kids area at the TACO WARS in the Municipal Auditorium. Volunteers will help with kids and crafts and keeping supplies organized. Volunteers will work in turns of 2 hours minimum.
Senior Parents- Don’t forget to fill out your blue Casino Night form and turn it in to the office. Forms and payment are due April 17th.
