Congratulations to the girls’ track team for winning their 4th straight district championship scoring 188 points! The boys got 2nd place scoring 129 points! The girls were led by the overall MVP of the meet Saniyah Simo scoring 28.5 points. The boys were led by Tripp Roemer scoring 20 points.Tripp Roemer got 1st in the 1600 and 3200, Emily G. Anderson got 1st in the 800, Saniyah Simo got 1st in the 100 and triple jump, Amari Jackson got 1st in shot put, Mary Elberson got 1st in the 1600, Reece Armagost got 1st in pole vault, Grace Shepherd got 1st in the 400, Easton Baker got 1st in high jump, Maddie Crawford got 1st in the 100 hurdles, Landry Hooper got 1st in high jump, Emily G. Mary Helen Burford got 3rd in the 400, Mary Elberson got 3rd in the 3200, and Chloe Reed got 3rd in javelin at the District Championship Meet!

FREE athletic physicals this Saturday April 20th at 9:00 am at the Christus Outpatient Therapy Clinic by Ashley Ridge at 8835 Line Avenue Suite 100. Athletes need to bring a physical form filled out and signed by a parent. The form can be found here https://www.loyolaprep.org/athletic-forms by scrolling down to "print blank medical form."

Baseball Bi-district playoff game vs Northlake Christian tonight beginning at 5:00PM at Cicero Field.

Business Club meeting today during the first half of lunch today in R301.

If you would like to run for Chess Club officer for the 24-25 school year, please email Mr. Pachankis by Friday April 19.

There will be a volleyball meeting on April 24th in room 204 during the second half of lunch for new and returning players for the 2024-25 season.

A representative from Savannah College of Art and Design will be on campus Tuesday, April 23 at 9:30 to talk to interested Loyola students. SCAD is a private art school located in Savannah, Georgia, and it offers more degree programs and specializations than any other art and design university. Juniors, you MUST sign up in Scoir to attend this meeting.

Anyone who did not play football last season, but is interested in playing this upcoming year MUST talk to Coach Sella before spring practice begins on April 29 in order to be able to play.

Happy Belly’s will be coming to Loyola FRIDAY (3/19/24). Cash and card will be accepted.

Any student who takes private lessons on a "wind instrument," "stringed instrument", including guitar, or piano, and would like information on trying out for the Louisiana All-State Band, Orchestra, or Guitar ensemble, please see Ms. Hymel for details.

Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.

Service Hour Opportunity - St. John Berchmans is looking for reliable student volunteers for their Vacation Bible School - Scuba, Divining into Friendship with God from Monday, June 3^rd through Friday, June 7^th. Students are needed to lead Crews of five children throughout the morning, help create video content, and volunteer where needed. Service Hour Opportunity for former SMCS Students - St. Mark's Cathedral School Field Day 2024 is looking for volunteers for Friday, May 3rd. Volunteers should arrive at the locker rooms (Thornhill) by 7:30 AM for instructions and setup. ALL student volunteers should plan to stay until everything is cleaned up (approximately 12 noon) . Hours will NOT be handed out until everything is cleaned up.You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at [email protected]. Service Hour Opportunity for former SJS Students - St. Joseph's needs volunteers for their field day which will be held on May 10th from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Volunteers will need to report to Messmer Stadium between 7:30-7:45. Preferably no later than 7:45! You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at [email protected]. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.

Loyola Rosary Group - The Rosary Group will be praying for the Senior Class of 2024. We welcome any senior parents who would like to join us in the weeks ahead as we pray for the seniors.
