Congratulations to the boys and girls tennis teams for their fine showing at the state tennis tournament. The boys placed 4th and the girls placed 6th in the team standings. Mary Mar Elberson and Taylor Nash took 3rd place in girls doubles.
Track Meet Results - Congratulations to the girls track team for winning the first regional championship in school history! They scored 101 points. The boys team finished 3rd with 73 points! Alyssa Matriano Lim received field event MVP with 20 points. Tripp Roemer received track MVP with 20 points winning both the 1 mile and 2 mile.Erin Campbell, Kate Fortune, Emily Anderson and Emmaline Drummond 1st in the 4x800 relay, Tyler Hornsby, Warren Graves, Mark Henry and Tripp Roemer 1st in the 4x800 relay, Max Crofton 1st in javelin, Izzy Black 1st in high jump, Alyssa Matriano Lim 1st in triple jump, Aidan Heard 1st in the 2 mile and 3rd in the 1 mile, Erin Campbell 1st in the 800, Tyler Hornsby 1st in the 800, Warren Graves 2nd in the 1 mile and 2 mile, Alyssa Matriano Lim 2nd in pole vault, Emily Anderson 2nd in the 800, Kate Ebarb 3rd in shot put, Hayden DeBroeck 3rd in pole vault, Reece Armagost 3rd in pole vault, Jinsy Hardison 3rd in high jump, Erin Campbell, Emily Anderson, Emmaline Drummond and Riya Ahuja 3rd in the 4x400 relay They have qualified to compete at the state championship meet next Saturday at LSU!
Flyer Day at Garden Park will be Wednesday, May 4th at 9111 Linwood Avenue in Shreveport. Meet under the covered patio, at 2:45pm, at the back of Garden Park to share our Flyer spirit with residents. Please bring room decorations and kind cards to brighten the residents' day. Also, feel free to show off your talents if you are an athlete, cheerleader, artist, or musician. Seniors- The deadline to submit service hours for recognition at graduation is 3:00 p.m. Wednesday May 4.
Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 05.02-05.06.2022. https://forms.gle/fsRy3YrDCc2m18NMA - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
The Junior Ring Ceremony will be TONIGHT at 6:00 PM in the cathedral.
The Senior Awards Ceremony will be Friday, April 29th at 9:15 AM in the gym.
The College of Ag Science and Forestry from LA Tech will visit interested students on Friday, April 29 at 12:00 in the Anderson Bld. Juniors can register in Naviance. Interested sophomores can email Mrs. Alexander or Mr. Cline about attending.
Service Hour Opportunity - The Gingerbread House Children's Advocacy Center needs volunteers on May 3rd for its Give for Good Carnival for Change at Riverpark Church. The Colten Miller Golf Social will take place on Wednesday, May 4th from 4:30 to 6:30 at David Tom’s Academy 265 to celebrate Colten and continue to raise funds for the new memorial garden.Students and their families are invited to register at the link in their emails to join us in a night of games, music, and community. Food and drinks will be provided. Though there will be valet parking, it is suggested that groups carpool. REGISTER!:
Service Hour Opportunity - Community Renewal International is hosting its 22nd Annual Croquet Classic on Sat., April 30th from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon at LSUS and will need volunteers: At least 20 students needed for… runners, escorts, to give directions, keep score. Service Hour Opportunity - ST Trace We Care, a 501 C3 community organization & subsidiary of Community Renewal International in the Southern Trace Neighborhood is hosting their Annual "Love your neighbor as yourself" Southern Trace Kid's Fun Run and Family 5K on Saturday, April 30th at 8:30 am. This fundraiser raises money for inner-city kids & youth to go to Summer Camps, buy school supplies and participate in educational experiences. We need volunteers to help in several ways.
