May 1, 2023Announcements for Monday, May 1, 2023 - Today is an A day.
- Tomorrow (Tuesday, May 2nd) is a late start day. The first bell rings at 9:15 and the tardy bell rings at 9:20.
- Senior service hours are due by May 5th.
- Service Hour Opportunity - There will be a sporting clay tournament at the Shreveport Gun Club to benefit St. Joseph School and they are in need of volunteers on the day of the event, Saturday May 6th. The times for volunteers would be from 11am-1pm. The duties would include calculating scores and picking up spent hulls after the tournament has ended. - The deadline to sign up to volunteer for any field day is by noon the day prior to the event. No sign ups/emails will be accepted after that time.
- Service Hour Opportunity for former SJB Students- SJB's field day will be on Friday, May 12th and they need volunteers. Students need to plan to be at SJB no later than 7:45 that morning. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.
- Service Hour Opportunity for former SMCS Students - Field Day is coming up on May 5th and St. Mark's needs volunteers. If you would like to help, please sign up using the link. - Service Hour Opportunity for former FBCS Students - First Baptist Church School is looking for volunteers to help with Field Day on Friday, May 12th from 8:30am to 1:30pm. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. - Service Hour Opportunity for former St. Joseph's Students - St. Joseph's Field Day will be on Friday, May 5th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Mesmer Stadium and they need volunteers. Students that sign up need to be there by 7:45 am. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.
- Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for The Arc Caddo-Bossier's GREAT Program. This program is dedicated to building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities through equine assisted services. The GREAT Program's Camp Victory will need volunteers for the summer sessions: June 5-9 & June 12-16; Monday—Friday 8:30-1:00. - Service Hour Opportunity - AHEC's Discovery Day is looking for students who can serve as group leaders for this one day event on Thursday, June 15, 2023. You do not have to have participated in AHEC to volunteer. Please contact Mrs. Clark for more information.
- Service Hour Opportunity - The 3rd Annual Run 4 Everyone will be taking place at the Ochsner St. Mary campus on Saturday, May 13. Volunteers are needed to assist as Run Buddies – watching kids as their parents run the 5K. The link for the students to sign up is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050B4FADAA22A5FD0-runfor . T-shirts are available to all volunteers.

- Calling all Flyer Football Parents!!!! Our Booster Club is in need of your support. Coach Greene has given us a wish list of items for the team including new uniforms and weight room equipment. We would like to have all funds raised by Friday May 12th, so we can order these new uniforms and equipment in time for our boys to use them during summer practices. Our goal is $50,000! - Anyone who would like to be added to our list of potential paid substitute teachers should contact Mrs. Johnson at sjohnson@loyolaprep.org. Subs will have to follow state and diocesan regulations which include being fingerprinted, having a full background check, and taking Protecting God's Children.
- Senior service hours are due by May 5th.
