May 5, 2023Announcements for Friday, May 5, 2023 - Today is an A day.
- Senior service hours are due today.
- Seniors - cap and gown pick up is in the Anderson Building during school hours. If you owe any fees, books, uniforms etc, you will be unable to pick up your cap and gown until those obligations are met. You also must have fulfilled your service hour requirement. If you are unsure if you owe anything, please contact Mrs. Smith or Ms. Leone in the Anderson Building.
- Students who have been approved to volunteer at SMCS and SJS field days today are excused for the entire day. You should have received a confirmation email yesterday. Contact Mrs. Watts with any questions.
- Loyola's Engineering students need your input! Scan the QR codes outside of room 206 on the 2nd floor of the main building to give your opinion on which Engineering final projects are the best! Voting will remain open until Friday morning at 9:15.
- There will be a quick interest meeting for boys soccer Monday, May 8th at 12:40 in room 103. All current players are required to be in attendance. If you did not participate last year and are thinking about playing soccer in the fall, stop in to hear what we have planned for the summer.

Treasurer-Gabrielle Ghali- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 05.08.23 – 05.12.23. https://forms.gle/Sm7HR2kK7EJj2oFy5 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Flyer Day Party at Garden Park will be Wednesday, May 17th at 9111 Linwood Avenue! Bring your school spirit gear and Flyer spirit, and I'll bring the bubbles and treats. Let's end this school year right by showing the residents our Flyer spirit and talents! The elderly residents really miss y'all, so please join Ms. Barker for one last "HURRAH!" this school year.
- The deadline to sign up to volunteer for any field day is by noon the day prior to the event. No sign ups/emails will be accepted after that time.
- Service Hour Opportunity for former SJB Students- SJB's field day will be on Friday, May 12th and they need volunteers. Students need to plan to be at SJB no later than 7:45 that morning. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.
- Service Hour Opportunity for former FBCS Students - First Baptist Church School is looking for volunteers to help with Field Day on Friday, May 12th from 8:30am to 1:30pm. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. - Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for The Arc Caddo-Bossier's GREAT Program. This program is dedicated to building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities through equine assisted services. The GREAT Program's Camp Victory will need volunteers for the summer sessions: June 5-9 & June 12-16; Monday—Friday 8:30-1:00. - Service Hour Opportunity - AHEC's Discovery Day is looking for students who can serve as group leaders for this one day event on Thursday, June 15, 2023. You do not have to have participated in AHEC to volunteer. Please contact Mrs. Clark for more information.
- Service Hour Opportunity - The 3rd Annual Run 4 Everyone will be taking place at the Ochsner St. Mary campus on Saturday, May 13. - Student directories are still available to purchase for $5 in the Anderson building! (These are handy for keeping up with friends after graduation.)
- Calling all Flyer Football Parents!!!! Our Booster Club is in need of your support. Coach Greene has given us a wish list of items for the team including new uniforms and weight room equipment. We would like to have all funds raised by Friday May 12th, so we can order these new uniforms and equipment in time for our boys to use them during summer practices. Our goal is $50,000! Please scan the QR CODE to donate. THANK YOU!!!!!
- Anyone who would like to be added to our list of potential paid substitute teachers should contact Mrs. Johnson at sjohnson@loyolaprep.org. Subs will have to follow state and diocesan regulations which include being fingerprinted, having a full background check, and taking Protecting God's Children.
