May 9, 2023Announcements for Tuesday, May 9, 2023 - Today is an A day.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 05.15-05.19.2023. https://forms.gle/nLwDv3AYiZevdxAd6 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Louisiana FCA will be hosting a multi-sport overnight camp for middle school and high school students May 24-27. See the attached flyer for details.
- The new Garden Park paper place mat goal is now 700, which means we have 92 paper place mats to go! All this week, stop by R203 or contact Ms. Barker for supplies. Flyer Day Party at Garden Park will be Wednesday, May 17th at 9111 Linwood Avenue! Bring your school spirit gear and Flyer spirit, and I'll bring the bubbles and treats. Let's end this school year right by showing the residents our Flyer spirit and talents! The elderly residents really miss y'all, so please join Ms. Barker for one last "HURRAH!" this school year.
- The deadline to sign up to volunteer for any field day is by noon the day prior to the event. No sign ups/emails will be accepted after that time.
- Service Hour Opportunity for former SJB Students- SJB's field day will be on Friday, May 12th and they need volunteers. Students need to plan to be at SJB no later than 7:45 that morning. You must have a C or better in all courses and must have parent permission emailed to Mrs. Watts at kwatts@loyolaprep.org. A sign up sheet will be located in the front office.
- Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for The Arc Caddo-Bossier's GREAT Program. This program is dedicated to building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities through equine assisted services. The GREAT Program's Camp Victory will need volunteers for the summer sessions: June 5-9 & June 12-16; Monday—Friday 8:30-1:00. - Service Hour Opportunity - LPA needs 2 volunteers to load plants from Bossier Convention Center after graduation on Friday, May 12th and deliver them to the warehouse at 6040 Fairfield (corner of Evangeline and Fairfield) between 9am and noon on Saturday. A truck or larger SUV/suburban would be best. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Valiulis at valiulisshelly@gmail.com .
- Service Hour Opportunity - The 3rd Annual Run 4 Everyone will be taking place at the Ochsner St. Mary campus on Saturday, May 13. Volunteers are needed to assist as Run Buddies – watching kids as their parents run the 5K. The link for the students to sign up is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050B4FADAA22A5FD0-runfor . T-shirts are available to all volunteers.

- Student directories are still available to purchase for $5 in the Anderson building! (These are handy for keeping up with friends after graduation.)
- Calling all Flyer Football Parents!!!! Our Booster Club is in need of your support. Coach Greene has given us a wish list of items for the team including new uniforms and weight room equipment. We would like to have all funds raised by Friday May 12th, so we can order these new uniforms and equipment in time for our boys to use them during summer practices. Our goal is $50,000! - Anyone who would like to be added to our list of potential paid substitute teachers should contact Mrs. Johnson at sjohnson@loyolaprep.org. Subs will have to follow state and diocesan regulations which include being fingerprinted, having a full background check, and taking Protecting God's Children.
