August 16, 2021Announcements for Monday, August 16, 2021 - Today is an A day.
- There is a mask mandate in place statewide. Masks are required.
- The cafeteria will be open at 7:00 for those students who pre-ordered breakfast. There will be limited quantities available for walk-up purchase..
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 8.23.2021-8.27.2021. https://forms.gle/pJRTgEXvD3QVFFEU7 The deadline to order meals for the week is Thursday at 4:00pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. Visit www.myschoolbucks.com to add money. Please verify funds are available before placing an order. **Orders are charged even if not picked up. **Orders must be placed from the student's Loyola Google account/email. If they are not sure how to do this, the student should stop by the Anderson Building with their iPad for assistance.
- Service hour opportunity for students! There will be a workday at Messmer Stadium this Saturday, August 21st, from 9 to 11am. Parents and students are needed to get our facilities ready for the upcoming athletic seasons. Please contact Stephanie Raburn with any questions -- [email protected]. Many Thanks!
- Loyola SGA will be hosting Line-Up and Sign-Up on August 23rd. This will be an opportunity to sign up for any LCP clubs that you are interested in! Today we would like to highlight a few. Contact [email protected] with any further questions about Line-Up and Sign-Up.
- Anime Club- a social club where students who enjoy watching anime can watch anime episodes during select lunchtimes. Students can also discuss their favorite shows with other students.
- Art Club- Art Club 's goal is to promote kindness,empathy, and compassion in both our school family and local community.
- Astronomy Club- Astronomy Club allows students to see and study things like stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae, and more in greater detail than we could with the naked eye. Light that has travelled for thousands of years is just now reaching us and everyone now has an opportunity to see it by joining the astronomy club.
- Book Club- Brand new at LCP! Book Club is an opportunity for students to choose a novel or work of non-fiction to read on their own and discuss. Student group will create a list of books they would like to read and vote on the choices. Fun, no pressure way to explore literature.
- Chemistry Club- The Chemistry Club looks at how chemistry influences our everyday lives. We also conduct investigations on various chemical topics. Mole Day (10/23) is on it's way and we help raise awareness of chemistry in the world around us.
- Drama Club- Drama Club is for the student who is interested in any aspect of theatre. If you are interested in acting, singing, dancing, backstage, front of house, props, lighting, sound, direction, etc., Drama Club is for you!
Parent Announcements- Parents of New Students: Today you will be receiving an Allergy Assessment form through the "MySchoolPortal". This form asks you to list any allergies your student may have and to state whether your student has any sensitivities to pesticides. The form will need to be completed for every incoming student, even if they do not have allergies. Please complete the form by Tuesday, Aug. 31. - Back to School Night Wednesday 18th - Parents of Juniors and Seniors
We will gather in the gym at 5:30 program begins at 5:45. Please have access to your student's schedule.- Immediately following Senior/Junior Back to School Night on August 18th, all senior parents will meet in the cafeteria and all junior parents will meet in the gym to discuss important upcoming events for this school year. The LPA is looking forward to meeting with you!
