Announcements for August 15, 2024 - B Day
LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 08/19-08/23/2024. https://forms.gle/HTciN5X5FJicZFJd9 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm.
Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the student’s Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.

Parking: When dropping students off, please do not park in front of the school on the street (on the school side) or in the parking lot in front of the school. These are teacher parking spaces. We have faculty at school by 7:00 AM every day so students may come inside at this time. If you have your child wait with you in your car until the bell rings, please find a place that is not teacher parking.
SGA: Thursday, August 15th - SGA will host a digital Line-Up and Sign-Up for clubs at Loyola!

Esports - Our organized competitive gaming club, "Dog House Gaming", is all about fun and good sportsmanship. Bring your skillz, bring your gear, and let's get that dub!
Fishing Club - Do you like to fish? Join our club team and compete against the best in the nation in local and national tournaments.
National Honor Society - This is by invitation only. The National Honor Society is a national organization based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Qualifying students receive an invitation to join the spring of their sophomore year. In order to qualify, a student must have at least a 3.8 cumulative GPA.
Orientation Leaders - The interview process will begin in the second semester. Want to be an ambassador for Loyola? Do you feel like you bring a unique perspective to our school? Sign up to show your interest. "
SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:
CONCESSIONS:This year the faculty, staff and students will be running the concession stands at Messmer for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. We are excited about this new opportunity for students to earn service hours and life experience. We are asking students to sign up for games to sell concessions. The attached form is for the 2024-25 Football season.
We will have the full concession stand on the Home Team's side and a smaller temporary concession stand on the Visitor's side.
We are looking forward to a great year.
Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.
Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

FBCS: Back to School Bingo is Tuesday, August 27th. We need 20 volunteers from 5pm until 8pm! It is at the First Baptist Gymnasium. It will be a really fun event and a good way to get service hours.

BLUE SEATS for FOOTBALL: Reserved Blue Seats are on sale for all parents, alumni and the Loyola community. Blue Seat passes are $200 each and are valid for one reserved seat admission per pass for every regular season home football game, including JV and scrimmages. View the Seating Chart here.
We are also offering General Admission Football and Volleyball Season Passes. Passes are $50 each and are valid for one (1) general admission for all home regular season Varsity and JV games and scrimmages.

FUNDRAISER: The 6th annual "Run, Run, Snoopy 5K" Saturday, August 24 will be full of fun, great food from Dillas and snow cones!
MEDICAL FORMS: If your child will need to keep emergency medication(s) such as an inhaler or injectable drug (Epi-pen, Auvi-Q) in the office or in his/her backpack during the school day please fill out a Medication Order and returned to the office as soon as possible. One form is needed for each medication required. Also, if your child has an accompanying action plan please forward that as well.
SERVICE HOURS: Service hours done over the summer need to be turned into the office by 8/26/24
