August 17, 2023Announcements for Thursday, August 17, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- Flyer Football is back! Flyer Football will scrimmage Haynesville this Friday at 6:00pm at Messmer Stadium. Tickets are $7 each and are available online at https://gofan.co/app/school/LA23475 and at the gate. Season passes and Reserved Blue Seats are still available on My School Bucks www.myschoolbucks.com. Children 6 and under get in free and Loyola students get in free with their student ID. ID must be shown at the gate. Come out and support your Flyers!
- SOPHOMORE class shirts are on sale now for $20.00 each Purchase yours here!
- SENIOR class shirts are on sale now for $23.00 each. Purchase yours here!
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 08.21-08.26.2023. https://forms.gle/tTVn6LEDHStA9R379 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- The 5th annual "Run, Run, Snoopy 5K" Saturday August 26 will be full of fun, great food from Dillas, snow cones and cool prizes!

- A student-led Rosary will be held Monday mornings at 7:15 in the Residence Building Chapel starting Monday, August 21st.
- The deadline to turn in summer service hours is Friday, August 25th. Hours must be turned in at the main office. No service hours will be accepted via email.
- Business/Investment Club - This club will meet to learn about the investment business. To help teach club members about investing, we will invite both local and out of town speakers to talk about various aspects of business.
Mu Alpha Theta - Mu Alpha Theta is a math based club for students with a passion for both pure and applied Mathematics. Activities include seminars, math competitions, math related community engagement, and other events.
Engineering - Our goal is to provide further opportunities to students at Loyola to explore the subject of engineering in educational and recreational ways.
Science Club - The Science Club involves all disciplines of science and how they influence our everyday lives and the world around us. We also conduct investigations, do research on various science topics, and celebrate science happenings. We are continuing to focus on Artemis in a new era of space exploration. Mole Day (October 23, 2023) is a way to help raise awareness of chemistry in the world around us. We are looking to improve our recycling efforts on campus to help protect the environment. If you like science, come join us!
- Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for The Arc Caddo-Bossier's GREAT Program. This program is dedicated to building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities through equine assisted services. If you are interested in helping after school W/TH/F afternoons September 11th - December 15th, please email kpolk@thearccaddobossier.org or call 318.938.9166.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. John Berchmans School will be hosting its annual Monster Mash on Saturday, October 28th. They need volunteers from 2:00 - 7:00 PM to help with setup and clean-up. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Leah Feldt at 318-423-7210 or leah.feldt@gmail.com .
- Service Hour Opportunity - Be a volunteer on September 28th at the Holy Angels 42nd Annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art! Shifts vary throughout the day. Volunteers will receive one ticket to TASTE to enjoy the festivities before or after their volunteer shift. Volunteers must be 16 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Sign up here to volunteer!
