August 18, 2021Announcements for Wednesday, August 18, 2021 - Today is an A day.
- There is a mask mandate in place statewide. Masks are required.
- Seniors, your information sheet for the style show is due Friday, August 20th. Please return to Mrs Clark or the office.
- Service Hour Opportunity - SJB Cathedral School is in need of volunteers to provide child care this Thursday evening, August 19th in the SJB multi-purpose room from 5:30 - 8:30 PM during their Parent Social. If you are interested, please email Principal Woodham at twoodham@sjbcathedralschool.org .
- Are you interested in running cross country for Loyola? If so, please see Coach Villalba or Coach Clark for more information. There will be a parent meeting this Thursday after Back to School Night in R201.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 8.23.2021-8.27.2021. https://forms.gle/pJRTgEXvD3QVFFEU7 The deadline to order meals for the week is Thursday at 4:00pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. Visit www.myschoolbucks.com to add money. Please verify funds are available before placing an order. **Orders are charged even if not picked up. **Orders must be placed from the student's Loyola Google account/email. If they are not sure how to do this, the student should stop by the Anderson Building with their iPad for assistance.
- Service hour opportunity for students! There will be a workday at Messmer Stadium this Saturday, August 21st, from 9 to 11am. - Returning Key Club members need to pay dues by August 30th.
- Loyola SGA will be hosting Line-Up and Sign-Up on August 23rd. This will be an opportunity to sign up for any LCP clubs that you are interested in! Today we would like to highlight a few. Contact sga@loyolaprep.org with any further questions about Line-Up and Sign-Up.
- Garden Park - Garden Park is our faith and love for others in action! Through Garden Park we have expanded our community beyond school and connected with the Garden Park residents to bring them companionship and joy.
- Key Club - Key Club is all about service to the community and the school. We do a lot of work with underprivileged kids, emergency responders, and the elderly. We also help with the Homecoming dance.
- Lacrosse - The Loyola Lacrosse Team is coached by Coach Sella. You do not have to purchase equipment to try the sport. Just ask Coach Sella if you would like to borrow equipment (first come, first served). No experience necessary.
- Languages and Cultures of the World Club - Promote the study of languages and cultures of the world. Expand your understanding of the interrelation of language and human nature.
- Important Parking Information - Please do not park on Cicero Drive in the morning during student drop-off. Cicero Drive is assigned student parking.
- Parents of New Students: Today you will be receiving an Allergy Assessment form through the "MySchoolPortal". This form asks you to list any allergies your student may have and to state whether your student has any sensitivities to pesticides. The form will need to be completed for every incoming student, even if they do not have allergies. Please complete the form by Tuesday, Aug. 31. - Back to School Night TONIGHT FOR PARENTS OF JUNIORS AND SENIORS - We will gather in the gym at 5:30 and the program will begin at 5:45; You will need access to your student's schedule.
- Immediately following Senior/Junior Back to School Night TONIGHT, all senior parents will meet in the cafeteria and all junior parents will meet in the gym to discuss important upcoming events for this school year. The LPA is looking forward to meeting with you!
- Back to School Night Thursday 19th - Parents of Freshmen and Sophomores; We will gather in the gym at 5:30 program begins at 5:45. Please have access to your student's schedule.
- The Loyola 100 Club is accepting memberships currently through My School Bucks (see the link below). Your participation will help support our 2021 LCP Football Team so please consider joining.
