STUDENT CAR POLICY: For security reasons students will not be allowed to retrieve items from their car during the school day. If a student forgets something in their car a parent can come and retrieve it and deliver it to the office for student pickup.
STUDENT CHECKOUTS: Parents please remember that students are not allowed to checkout after 2 pm per school policy.
LUNCH: LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 09.09-09.13.2024. https://forms.gle/BiuCcfnzbtVBhSJi8 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm.
Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the student's Loyola Google account/email.
Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.

HOMECOMING TICKETS: Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale. The dance is Saturday, September 28th at the LSUS Ballroom from 8PM to 10PM. All students attending must be there no later than 8:30PM and must stay until 10:00PM.

JUNIORS & SENIORS: There are three college admissions representatives visiting Loyola next week! Rhodes College will be here Monday, Sept. 9th, Tulane University will be here Wednesday, Sept. 11th, and the University of Arkansas will be here Thursday, Sept 12th. Please check Scoir for times and to register. You must register at least 24 hours in advance to come!
SGA: Students, please fill out the ballot of homecoming themes before 3PM Friday to decide on the dress-up themes for Homecoming Week.
There is a meeting for freshmen who are interested in running for student government Thursday, September 5th during lunch in room B3.
UNIFORM CLOSET: Due to classes being held in the Anderson Building, the Uniform Closet will be open ONLY before school (until 7:40), after school and during lunch.
STYLE SHOW:
Seniors, reminder to go to Harrington House and get your senior portraits done ASAP. They will take a photo that is needed for the Style Show. Sponsorship Tables/Senior Seating will go on sale Sept. 9th at 8am and they will end on Oct. 11th at 2:30 p.m. General Admission sales will begin on October 14th.
All Junior and Senior will need to purchase a class t-shirt for Style Show. Underclassmen and faculty T-Shirts will be sold as well. Each grade level has a special T-shirt design. These will go on sale August 21st through My School Bucks. Sales will end on September 11th.

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:
GARDEN PARK: This year marks the 10th anniversary of LCP's weekly visits to Garden Park! The first visit will be this Wednesday, September 4th, from 3 pm - 4 pm at 9111 Linwood Avenue. For this visit, students will play an icebreaker game with the elderly residents. For more information on this fun service hour opportunity, contact Ms. Barker.
RASA: The nonprofit organization RASA is having a 5K on September 21st, and is asking for 10 volunteers to help at the registration table and water stops.

ST. MARY’S FALL FEST: St. Mary of the Pines Parish will celebrate its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Loyola students are needed to help with Bouncy House, Dunking Booth, children's games and working a concession stand. There is also the need for one or two students to paint faces. To volunteer, call the church office at (318) 687-5121 and sign the sign up sheet in LCP’s front office. The Fall Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Mary of the Pines at 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop/Shreveport, LA 71118.
SOUTHFIELD: Be on the lookout for more information in November about Southfield's annual Grandfriends Day, which will take place on Friday, November 22nd.
CONCESSIONS:This year the faculty, staff and students will be running the concession stands at Messmer for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. We are excited about this new opportunity for students to earn service hours and life experience. We are asking students to sign up for games to sell concessions. The attached form is for the 2024-25 Football season.
We will have the full concession stand on the Home Team's side and a smaller temporary concession stand on the Visitor's side.
We are looking forward to a great year.
Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.
Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

CENTENARY MUSES BOOK BAZAAR: Friday, September 13 from 4-9pm and Saturday, September 14 from 9-4pm at the fitness center on Centenary’s campus. They need floor workers to organize book tables and restock as needed, and store room/carryout workers who will bring books from the storeroom and assist customers with carrying books to their cars. There is no need to sign up ahead of time. Students just need to arrive a few minutes before their shift and find the volunteer table.
