STUDENT CHECKOUTS: Parents please remember that students are not allowed to checkout after 2 pm per school policy.
LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 09.16.2024-09.20.2024. https://forms.gle/TqNbjAR4SC8rNeNbA - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm.
Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the student's Loyola Google account/email. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.You MUST be logged into a Loyola email address to place an order. If you get an error message, please log in to the student Loyola email/Google and place your order.
FLYER MASS: Flyer Mass is held monthly at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans. The first Flyer mass of this year will be this Sunday, September 15 at 5:30 pm, all students & faculty are welcome!
PICTURE RETAKES: If you missed school pictures or want to do a retake the makeup day is Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 3:15pm. You must go to Harrington House, which is located two blocks from the school at the corner of Margaret Place and Line Avenue.
COLLEGE VISITS: Juniors and Seniors - we have two college admissions representatives visiting Loyola next week! Louisiana Tech will be here Monday, Sept 16 at 10:00 AM, and Centenary College will be here Tuesday, Sept 17 at 11:45 AM. Seniors who have already been admitted should still attend- this is a great opportunity to talk about housing, scholarships, and admitted students events. Please register on Scoir. REMEMBER: you must register at least 24 hours in advance to come!

FOOTBALL AND CHICK-FIL-A: Students and parents, Cheer on the Flyers as they take on Logansport at their first home game of the season Friday, Sept. 13! We will have new and improved concessions including a special box dinner from Chick-Fil-A for $10 available for preorder (deadline Sept. 11). Make sure to purchase tickets to the game and for the Chick-Fil-A box ahead of time by clicking here.
FOOTBALL TAILGATE: Flyer Football Tailgate | Friday, Sept. 13 @ 6 p.m. - Messmer
All parents are invited to join the LCP Booster Club for their tailgate on Sept. 13. The fun and food starts at 6 p.m. right next to Messmer Stadium before the Flyer kick off at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there! Donations are appreciated.
FOOTBALL FUNDRAISER/FREE CANES: Want to win free Canes for a year? $5 a ball or $20 for five balls buys you the chance to throw a tennis ball during halftime at the football game this Friday, September 13th. If your ball lands in the bucket on the field, you win free Canes chicken for a year. Tennis balls will be on sale on My School Bucks and during the game. Winner will receive 3 box combos a month for 12 months! Open to students and anyone attending the football game!
FOOTBALL NATIONAL ANTHEM: If you would want to sing the National Anthem at the football game please reach out to Mr. Marshall.
HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH: Hispanic Heritage Month starts next week and here at Loyola we would like to celebrate Flyers who are of hispanic descent. Any student or faculty member who has Hispanic heritage please email Mrs. Soberal by the end of this week. She only needs to know your name and country of heritage.
DIRECTORIES: Student directories are now available for $5 each in the Anderson Building, ONLY cash or check made payable to the Loyola Parents Association (LPA.) Please stop by during normal office hours to purchase a directory.
HOMECOMING TICKETS: Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale. The dance is Saturday, September 28th at the LSUS Ballroom from 8PM to 10PM. All students attending must be there no later than 8:30PM and must stay until 10:00PM.

If your student has a homecoming date from another school please see the form attached to this email. It must be turned in to the office before the dance. Copies are also available in the office.

Seniors, reminder to go to Harrington House and get your senior portraits done ASAP. They will take a photo that is needed for the Style Show.
STYLE SHOW SHIRT DEADLINE EXTENDED! All juniors and seniors must purchase a Style Show shirt by September 23. Please click the appropriate link below to purchase a shirt for your student.

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:
STYLE SHOW: Students are needed to help sell Style Show “split the pot” raffle tickets at the football game this Friday, September 13th. Please meet at the raffle ticket table at Messmer at 6:30pm if you want to help.
CONCESSIONS:This year the faculty, staff and students will be running the concession stands at Messmer for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. We are excited about this new opportunity for students to earn service hours and life experience. We are asking students to sign up for games to sell concessions. The attached form is for the 2024-25 Football season.
We will have the full concession stand on the Home Team's side and a smaller temporary concession stand on the Visitor's side.
We are looking forward to a great year.
Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.
Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

CENTENARY MUSES BOOK BAZAAR: Friday, September 13 from 4-9pm and Saturday, September 14 from 9-4pm at the fitness center on Centenary’s campus. They need floor workers to organize book tables and restock as needed, and store room/carryout workers who will bring books from the storeroom and assist customers with carrying books to their cars. There is no need to sign up ahead of time. Students just need to arrive a few minutes before their shift and find the volunteer table.
RASA: The nonprofit organization RASA is having a 5K on September 21st, and is asking for 10 volunteers to help at the registration table and water stops.

A.C. STEERE FALL FESTIVAL: Fall Festival at AC Steere on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:30pm to 8pm. Volunteers need to report to the sign-in table in front of the cafeteria. They will need student volunteers to help with the different activities and booths.
ST. MARK’S KIDS ON THE RUN RACE: Volunteers are needed to man the registration table and work on the course. The race is Thursday, October 3rd from 4:30 - 6pm at the Stoner Ave. Skate Park. Sign up at the following link: https://www.timetosignup.com/smcslions/sheet/1319603/
ST. MARY’S FALL FEST: St. Mary of the Pines Parish will celebrate its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Loyola students are needed to help with Bouncy House, Dunking Booth, children's games and working a concession stand. There is also the need for one or two students to paint faces. To volunteer, call the church office at (318) 687-5121 and sign the sign up sheet in LCP’s front office. The Fall Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Mary of the Pines at 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop/Shreveport, LA 71118.
