We are asking for donations of $5 or more, with all proceeds going directly to the family. Amari's father, TJ Jackson, is in the hospital in Dallas awaiting a heart transplant. Students' donations will be collected in class Monday morning, but donations will also be taken via a link on MySchoolBucks:
The date to sign the Senior Credit Letter form was Friday, Sept. 16. If you have not already done so, please log in to your school portal and sign the form ASAP. The student and one parent are required to sign. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Congratulations to the Loyola Cross Country Team for finishing 4th place overall this past weekend at the Taylor Wade Invitational in Texarkana.The Girls XC Team was led by Mary Elberson followed by Mary Walker, Sarah Roppolo, Bella Cascio, Teresa Fields and Ainsley Hanes. While the Boys XC Team had two Top 10 runners: Mark Henry (9th) and Tripp Roemer (1st) who won the race and set a new course record (17:45.52)!
Garden Park club believes in the importance of kind words, the healing power of a smile, community, and companionship. BeginningWednesday 21st we will start visiting the elderly residents in-person again! It is limited to 5 students per visit, so contact Ms. Barker to reserve your spot.

Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.

Teen Advisory Council for the YWCA is a program designed to challenge, lead and educate young women towards leadership. The program will provide opportunities to learn about nonprofit operations, develop leadership skills and empower teen girls to learn more about themselves and make good decisions. Any female student with a minimum GPA of a 2.5 is welcome to apply. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 23. Please see your English teacher or Ms. Hymel for more information.
Service Hour Opportunity- Volunteers needed to help at the St. Mary of the Pines food booth at the Red River Revel on Saturday, Oct. 8. Two shifts are available: 10 am- 2 pm and 1:30 pm - 6 pm. Please email Fr. Johnson by Friday, September 23 if interested:[email protected] .
Service Hour Opportunity - "Empty Bowls", is the Food Bank’s annual fundraising dinner. It will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The event will be held in the grand ballroom of Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel, Clyde Fant Parkway, Shreveport, LA; The primary task will be for the students to provide table (waiter) service for patrons. Tea/water refills, removal of dirty dishes, etc. *Suggested dress is a white shirt/blouse, dark pants (no holes!) and closed-toed shoes. (no sandals or flip flops). Service Hour Opportunity - First Baptist Church School's Fall Carnival is Thursday, October 6th, 2022. The carnival is from 3:00-6:00 pm. We will need 20 volunteers to work the event from 2:45-6:00. If interested, please contact FBCS Volunteer Chairman Caroline McKenzie at [email protected] .
