LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10/07/2024 – 10/11/2024. https://forms.gle/zPbaCwghMrCAHA2g9- The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account.
Orders are charged even if they are not picked up.Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
4-H: A meeting will be held October 3rd after Mass. We will meet in the chemistry room. We will be discussing National 4-H Week, electing club officers, and talking about online enrollment. Please be present if you are interested in 4-H.
CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST: If you want to submit a design (paint, pencil, graphic, watercolor, etc.), please email Mrs. Jordan Harris at [email protected] or drop off your physical copy in the Anderson Building. The deadline to submit artwork is Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m. The chosen winner will have their artwork displayed on the 2024 Loyola Christmas Card!
CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Loyola Cross Country Team for setting 18 PR's at the Huntington Raider XC Invitational in Shreveport!
The Girls XC Team finished in 5th place and was led by 13th place Julia Braud (24:08.61), followed by Teresa Fields, Lily Harris, Ava Bauer, Sophia Boggs, and Emma Caraway.
The Boys XC Team devoured their prey taking 1st place (27 pts). It was led by 3rd place Mark Henry who set another Loyola course record (17:13.29) followed by, Mathis Stanberry (4th), Reese Jacobs (5th), Nick Kampert (9th), Carter Ward (10th), Holt Hamilton (17th), Eddie Villalba (21st), Carter Spohr (22nd), Archer Elston, Dixon Wright, Andrew Kim, and Jackson Griffies.
CHEER and FOOTBALL: Attention Flyer Fans! Show your Flyer Pride and support your cheerleaders by buying a tshirt with your favorite senior football players’ and cheerleaders’ faces. BOWLING: There will be a bowling interest meeting for new & returning players October 2 second half of lunch in room 100.
CLOSE UP: Juniors and seniors interested in attending 2025 Close Up need to have their paperwork in by September 30,2024. Please bring your forms to the office.
COOKIE CATHEDRAL: The Campus Ministry's Cookie Cathedral stand will be taking a hiatus until Thursday, October 3. This month, the Cookie Cathedral will be sending all the money raised to Mary's House. We raised $183 for Mary's House. Thank you for your support! We will return with some new items next month, including chocolate ice cream. See you next month!

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:
ST. JOSEPH’S: Falcon Fest '24. SJS needs 8 LCP students to set up for the Falcon Fest event from 1 - 3 PM on Saturday, Oct. 5. Arrive at SJS parking lot and be ready to move tables/chairs/set up booths and stock ice in coolers.
CONCESSIONS:We still need students to sign up for the concession booth. If you signed up in the past and missed your shift you have been removed and will need to sign up again for upcoming shifts.

Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.
Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
A.C. STEERE FALL FESTIVAL: Fall Festival at AC Steere on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:30pm to 8pm. Volunteers need to report to the sign-in table in front of the cafeteria. They will need student volunteers to help with the different activities and booths. The volunteers should arrive around 4:30pm if possible. They can wear a school spirit shirt. There will be a volunteer table for signing in and out. If you bring a service hour sheet with you it will be completed upon checking out. They can bring their own water, but each volunteer will be given a meal voucher - hotdog, hamburger, or other main item, chips, and drink.

ST. MARK’S KIDS ON THE RUN RACE: Volunteers are needed to man the registration table and work on the course. The race is Thursday, October 3rd from 4:30 - 6pm at the Stoner Ave. Skate Park. Sign up at the following link: https://www.timetosignup.com/smcslions/sheet/1319603/
ST. MARY’S FALL FEST: St. Mary of the Pines Parish will celebrate its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Loyola students are needed to help with Bouncy House, Dunking Booth, children's games and working a concession stand. There is also the need for one or two students to paint faces. To volunteer, call the church office at (318) 687-5121 and sign the sign up sheet in LCP’s front office. The Fall Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Mary of the Pines at 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop/Shreveport, LA 71118.
