SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER: Support your Lady Flyers Softball by purchasing a Flyer Athletics Stadium Cushion for $15.75. The cushions are a 13” x 14” closed cell foam with a handle and are water resistant. FLYERS FOR LIFE: The Flyers for Life will host their first meeting on Tuesday, October 8th during lunch in room 203. Anyone interested in joining this wonderful ministry that serves and protects the dignity of life from conception to natural death please join us!

HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF: Please consider donating to the Hurricane Helene relief. You can contribute online at the My School Bucks site, or via cash in your religion or English classes.  Let’s show the hurricane victims that Loyola Flyers truly believe in "Faith in Action!" 

LACROSSE: Informational meeting and sign up for new and returning lacrosse players Wednesday October 9th in the gym at the beginning of lunch. Any returning or possible new players that cannot make it or have questions please contact Coach Thomas Pernici by email [email protected].

BOWLING: Anyone who missed the bowling interest meeting can come by Rm. 100 and see Mr. Pachankis for more information through October 9th.

FOOTBALL: To pre-order a Small’s sliders meal for the October 10th football game please see the attached sheet.  Orders are due by Oct 9th at 2:30 p.m. sliders.pdf

JUNIOR & SENIORS:  An admissions representative from Baylor University will be here Monday, October 7 at 8:30am. Please register on Scoir. REMEMBER: you must register at least 24 hours in advance to come!

CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST: If you want to submit a design (paint, pencil, graphic, watercolor, etc.), please email Mrs. Jordan Harris at [email protected] or drop off your physical copy in the Anderson Building. The deadline to submit artwork is Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m. The chosen winner will have their artwork displayed on the 2024 Loyola Christmas Card!

CHEER and FOOTBALL: Attention Flyer Fans! Show your Flyer Pride and support your cheerleaders by buying a tshirt with your favorite senior football players’ and cheerleaders’ faces. LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10/07/2024 – 10/11/2024.  https://forms.gle/zPbaCwghMrCAHA2g9- The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account.

Orders are charged even if they are not picked up.Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. 

Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home.  No exceptions.

Seniors, reminder to go to Harrington House and get your senior portraits done ASAP. They will take a photo that is needed for the Style Show.

Consider making a donation to the Style Show Online Auction!!  We would love to have you or  your business advertised in our online auction. SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES: 

ST. JOSEPH’S: Falcon Fest '24. SJS needs  8 LCP students to set up for the Falcon Fest event from  1 - 3 PM on Saturday, Oct. 5. Arrive at SJS parking lot and be ready to move tables/chairs/set up booths and stock ice in coolers.

CONCESSIONS:We still need students to sign up for the concession booth. If you signed up in the past and missed your shift you have been removed and will need to sign up again for upcoming shifts.

Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.

They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.

Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. 

JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

ST. MARY’S FALL FEST: St. Mary of the Pines Parish will celebrate its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024.  Loyola students are needed to help with Bouncy House, Dunking Booth, children's games and working a concession stand.  There is also the need for one or two students to paint faces.  To volunteer, call the church office at (318) 687-5121 and sign the sign up sheet in LCP’s front office.  The Fall Festival will be held on the grounds of St. Mary of the Pines at 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop/Shreveport, LA 71118.  

SACRED HEART OF JESUS FALL FEST:

Date: Sunday, October 20th

Time: 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 

Needs: Assisting with various games and face-painting booths, Big Kahuna Splash, as well as serving food and cleaning up afterwards

PAW PRINT SPRINT: St. Mark's is searching for volunteers to help at the Paw Print Sprint 5k.  Please sign up at the link below.
