Announcements for October 16, 2024 -  B Day

PARENT ROSARY GROUP: Will meet today at 1:30pm in St. Michael’s Chapel.

GIRLS SOCCER: Girls Varsity and JV Soccer Tryouts are TODAY at 3:15 pm at Cargill park field 3! Please make every effort to attend! If you cannot make it but are interested in playing JV soccer, please email Coach Mark Matlock asap @ [email protected]. 

CROSS COUNTRY:  Congratulations to the Loyola Cross Country Team for setting 9 PR's against the best in the State at the Pete Boudreaux XC Invitational in Baton Rouge this past weekend!

The Girls XC Team was led by Julia Braud (23:41.51), followed by Teresa Fields (25:36.06) and Abigayle Eizel (32:35.76). The Boys XC Team was led by Mark Henry (16:57.97) who set a new course record for Loyola, followed by, Nick Kampert (18:23.21), Eddie Villalba (18:35.22), Holt Hamilton (18:38.51), Carter Spohr (19:42.71), and Archer Elston (21:02.07).

HAPPY BELLY’S:  Happy Belly’s will be coming to Loyola FRIDAY (10/18/24). Cash and card will be accepted.

SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS: This is a reminder that all seniors and a parent must sign the Senior Credit Audit Form.  If you have not already done so, please log in to your My School Portal to sign the form.  A Hold will be placed on your account if not signed by Wednesday, Oct. 16.

BLANKET FUNDRAISER: The Football Booster Club is selling blankets again this year. These are great quality large knit blankets. They would make a wonderful Christmas present. You can purchase them at the link below for $75. Thank you for your support.

PAINTBALL FUNDRAISER: Students, teachers, coaches, friends and family! Join us on November 2 for a fun-filled day of paintball, food, and a bonfire. $50 a person will get you entry, equipment, and 500 paintballs to spend the afternoon at O.F.F. Limits Paintball. The fun starts at 1:00 pm and runs through the evening. Chicken tender and burger meals will be available for $10 and Seniors will eat FREE! Reserve your spot now by filling out the form below.

SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER: Support your Lady Flyers Softball by purchasing a Flyer Athletics Stadium Cushion for $15.75. The cushions are a 13” x 14” closed cell foam with a handle and are water resistant. CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST: If you want to submit a design (paint, pencil, graphic, watercolor, etc.), please email Mrs. Jordan Harris at [email protected] or drop off your physical copy in the Anderson Building. The deadline to submit artwork is Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m. The chosen winner will have their artwork displayed on the 2024 Loyola Christmas Card!

LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10.21-10.25.2024.  https://forms.gle/cRT55WrWmGhPM9c27 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account.

Orders are charged even if they are not picked up.Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. 

Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home.  No exceptions.

CONCESSIONS:We still need students to sign up for the concession booth. If you signed up in the past and missed your shift you have been removed and will need to sign up again for upcoming shifts.

Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.

They will receive 3 hours per JV games/Jets games.

Varsity Games 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. 

JV and Jets Games 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

SACRED HEART OF JESUS FALL FEST: (Volunteers Really Needed)

Date: Sunday, October 20th

Time: 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 

Needs: Assisting with various games and face-painting booths, Big Kahuna Splash, as well as serving food and cleaning up afterwards

ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH:  Please see the attached sheet for information on how to help with their vocations bake sale. 

SBJ Monster Mash: SJB is celebrating its annual Monster Mash and is looking for volunteers.  There is a sign up sheet in the office.

FAIRFIELD FALL CARNIVAL: Fairfield Elementary needs 8-10 volunteers for their Fall Carnival on Friday, Oct. 25 from 4-7 p.m. Students will work hour-long shifts throughout the entire event.
