Announcements for Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 - Today is a B day. 

•    Dr. Cheryl White, Director of Religious Education at the Cathedral, will give a presentation today on the relics of Saint Padre Pio coming to the Cathedral on Nov. 14 and the meaning of relics in the Catholic Church immediately following the Mass today.

•    Fall Break will be Friday, October 21 through Monday, October 24th.

•    Students will begin wearing the winter uniform on October 25th.

•    Service Hour Opportunity - St. John Berchmans School needs volunteers for their Monster Mash on Saturday, October 29th.  Volunteers will be needed from 2:00pm - 7:00pm.  Any hours you would be available would be appreciated.  If you are interested, please sign up here - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805044eada62ca2fd0-lcpvolunteers

•    The Faith on Fire meeting scheduled for after Mass today has been postponed to Thursday, October 20th at 12:40PM. 

•    Did you know that the Rosary is a way to enter into the mysteries of Jesus through Mary?  The Rosary is a means of drawing closer to Our Lord and you do NOT have to be Catholic to pray the rosary or to receive the many blessings of doing so.  The Rosary Group invites you to come and learn and pray with us on Wednesdays at noon. We meet in the office and walk over to the Residence Hall around 12:10 and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to complete! Any questions or prayer requests can be sent to [email protected].

•    SGA wants to remind all members to pay their club dues. The link will close this Thursday at 2:30, and t-shirt orders will be placed shortly after. 

•    This week SGA is selling Boo Bags for $2 - cash only. Order them for your friends by filling out the form passed out by your homeroom teacher. They will be distributed before Halloween on the 25th!

•    Yearbook Picture Retake Day is Oct 27th from 3-4PM at The Harrington House Studio.

•    Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10.24.2022-10.28.2022.  https://forms.gle/t89UJDTKYAEEmiE18 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home.  No exceptions.

•    Service Hour Opportunity - The Loyola Boys Soccer Team needs volunteers to help at the Autumn Breeze 5k on October 22 from 6:45 am until 9:30 am. The location is the Pierremont Mall on Line Avenue (across from Brookshires). Please email [email protected] with any questions. 

•    Service Hour Opportunity - The Eden Gardens Fall Carnival will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church on October 29th, from 10 am – 2 pm. Volunteers are needed to work two hour shifts. •    Students will begin wearing Winter Uniforms when they return from Fall Break on Tuesday, October 25. The Loyola Uniform Closet is located in the Anderson Building and is accessible to all students and parents during regular school hours.   Blazers are $20 and all other uniforms, including pants, skirts, ties, Oxford shirts and spirit shirts are $2 each. The closet also has a large assortment of apparel for most Loyola sports teams and many clubs. Donations of both new and gently used uniforms are welcome at any time.  Senior Parents, don't forget that your student will need a blazer for the Style Show.
