October 20, 2023Announcements for Friday, October 20, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- ATTENTION ALL FLYERS‼️ TODAY SGA will be holding a Miracle Jeans Day, an annual fundraiser by Children’s Miracle Network/CHRISTUS. If you bring 2 dollars to school TODAY, you will be allowed to wear jeans with your favorite LCP spirit shirt. Dress code is the same as for Homecoming Week. No shorts or leggings for males or females. Joggers/sweatpants or jeans are fine. Make sure and show your support for our community! It’s a Great Year to be a Flyer!
- Come support your Flyers tonight at Messmer as they take on Lakeside at 7:00PM!
- SGA’s annual November Food Drive has been moved up this year to October, more specifically Oct. 23-31st. Laundry baskets will be placed in each homeroom for the collection process. Please see the attached document below to find the list of items that the Northwest Food Bank of Louisiana is looking for. Thank you for your support in Loyola's show of faith in action! It's a Great Year to be a Flyer!
- Did you hear about the fundraiser for the LCP Senior Trip to Europe? It's so easy! There is nothing to buy or sell, all we want are your OLD SHOES. Yes, you heard me, OLD SHOES!! We have 4 weeks to collect as many pairs of old shoes as possible. Start in your closets and gather all the shoes that you have outgrown, have gone out of style, or you just don’t wear. ASK you parents, your siblings, your neighbors, and friends for their old shoes. Please drop your shoes in the box located by the front office. Let’s see how much money we can raise just by collecting old shoes! Remember, every pair helps, can we count on you?
- A representative from Sewanee will be on campus Wednesday, October 25th at 11:45. Students interested in attending must register in Scoir 24 hours in advance to be excused from class.
- All Loyola families are invited to the football tailgate this Friday at 5 pm. The Flyers play Lakeside @ 7 pm. The Booster Club is serving GUMBO!!!! Join us as we cheer on the Flyers at their last district home game. It is also Senior Night and Jets Night. Flyers + Football + Fellowship= Good Times Had By All
- SGA Junior Class is selling boo bags this week through Friday, October 20th for $2 CASH ONLY! Slips will be available in homeroom, and money and orders will be collected by the officers at lunch in the breezeway.
- Want to win free Canes for a year? $5 a ball buys you the chance to throw a tennis ball during halftime at the game on October 20th. If your ball lands in the bucket on the field, you win free Canes chicken all year! Balls will be on sale on MySchoolBucks October 16-20th and before the game. Winner will receive 3 box combos a month for 12 months! Open to students and anyone attending the football game!
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 10.23.2023 – 10.27.2023. https://forms.gle/nc3H3T5PFSxu3jyH9 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- SENIORS: You will be at retreat on Monday 10/23, do not order for this day.
