Announcements for October 24, 2024 - B Day
PARENTS: We need donations of bags of Halloween candy, donuts, and apples for the lunch time carnival on Halloween. Please bring them to the office or to Mrs. Lewis or Mrs. Bissell. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Lewis at 318-208-0092. This is in conjunction with SGA.
4-H: A meeting will be held Thursday, October 24 during the second part of lunch in room 206. We will be discussing our service project for the month of November. All members need to attend, if possible.
PAINTBALL FUNDRAISER: Students, teachers, coaches, friends and family! Join us on November 2 for a fun-filled day of paintball, food, and a bonfire. $50 a person will get you entry, equipment, and 500 paintballs to spend the afternoon at O.F.F. Limits Paintball. The fun starts at 1:00 pm and runs through the evening. Chicken tender and burger meals will be available for $10 and Seniors will eat FREE! Reserve your spot now by filling out the form below.

SENIORS: Please fill out senior superlatives by the November 1st deadline.
VETERAN’S DAY: We will be celebrating Veterans' Day on Monday, Nov. 11th during Mass. All parents, family members, and friends are invited, especially Veterans. We will have a reception following the Mass and Guest Speaker. In addition, we are asking all families to send pictures of their Veteran family members to [email protected]. If you sent in pictures last year there is no need to resend in the same pictures - we have them. All photos need to be in by Nov. 1st.
LUNCH: Beginning Monday, October 28th, students will be required to scan their ID for any cafeteria purchases. Students were given an updated ID sticker with a barcode. If you have not gotten a new barcode sticker, please check with your English teacher. Students who forgot their ID must see Coach Greene before their first class to obtain a temporary ID.
JV SOCCER: The girls JV soccer team is looking for a few additional players. All you need is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Practices have started and the season is right around the corner! Please reach out to Coach Matlock - [email protected] for additional information if interested.
FOOTBALL TAILGATE: Please join the LCP Booster Club for their tailgate on Friday, October 25th. The fun and food starts at 5:30 p.m. right next to Messmer Stadium before the Flyer kick-off at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there! Admission is free, but donations are always appreciated.
BOO BAGS: The junior class is selling boo bags for $2 each. The deadline to turn in forms is this Friday, October 25. You can turn in forms with payment to Hart Snyder, Gab Ghali, Mollie Hodges, Alexandra Kerr, and Mrs. Bissel. Forms can be found in the front office.
WINTER UNIFORMS: Students must wear winter uniforms. Please see the handbook for guidelines if needed. The Uniform Closet is only open during lunch and before and after school so as to not disturb the classes that take place in the Anderson Building.
FLYER MASS: There will be a Flyer Mass held Sunday, October 27th at 5:30 p.m. at the Cathedral. We would love a huge turnout to show the Cathedral parishioners that Loyal students truly live Faith in Action.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Please vote for Jessica Hoang, Loyola Volleyball, for the Shreveport Times Athlete of the Week.
SGA: SGA and Key Club are hosting a Food Drive for Northwest Food Bank this week. Please bring donated canned goods to B3 before Friday, October 25th to help us put our faith in action.

SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER: Support your Lady Flyers Softball by purchasing a Flyer Athletics Stadium Cushion for $15.75. The cushions are a 13” x 14” closed cell foam with a handle and are water resistant. LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here:Week of 10.28-11.01.2024. https://forms.gle/Wa2ykDGN4friDwqaA. The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account.
Orders are charged even if they are not picked up.Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES:
CONCESSIONS: We still have several football games that need volunteers to serve concessions. Additionally, we have added soccer games to the concession stand sign up. All students who work the soccer games will receive 4 or more service hours, depending on the length of the games. Sign up at the link below.

ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH: Please see the attached sheet for information on the bake sale to support our seven seminarians and three novitiates. Please make sure your name and school are attached to the baked goods so that you can get service hours.
SBJ Monster Mash: SJB is celebrating its annual Monster Mash and is looking for volunteers. There is a sign up sheet in the office.

FAIRFIELD FALL CARNIVAL: Fairfield Elementary needs 8-10 volunteers for their Fall Carnival on Friday, Oct. 25 from 4-7 p.m. Students will work hour-long shifts throughout the entire event. GRANDPARENTS’ DAY: Southfield's annual Grandfriends’ Day, is on Friday, November 22nd. Student volunteers are needed to assist with the event. Volunteers need to be at Southfield by 8:15 AM, and their responsibilities would conclude by 11:30 AM, allowing them to return to their regular schedules after the event.
