Announcements for Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - School is closed today due to the Style Show.- TODAY IS THE STYLE SHOW! The show begins at 11:00 AM at the Bossier Civic Center.
- CONGRATULATIONS Mary Huckabee! Mary won the t-shirt design competition for the 2021 FAiTH shirt, and has won $100. Go see the t-shirt design on the bulletin board outside Ms. Hymel's office.
- Congratulations to sophomores Millicent Mascagni and Martha Vanchiere. They have been chosen to represent Loyola at the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership conference in June. At this conference they will meet with hundreds of sophomores from around Louisiana as well as local, state and national leaders. Congratulations Millicent and Martha, we know you will represent us well!
- Homerooms, get your game-plan together! The FAiTH toy drive homeroom competition is happening from now through Friday, November 19. The winning homeroom needs to have at least 1 toy turned in for each student in the homeroom, as well as the highest number of toys brought in. Students in the winning homeroom will each receive a gift card for a Cane's Box meal AND a gift card for a quesadilla from Dillas!!! Turn in your toys to your homeroom teacher any day between now and the 19th! Help an under privileged child have a new toy for Christmas!
- The Lady Flyers Soccer Team had a great win at their pre-season scrimmage versus Magnet last night. They won 4-1 with goals by Erin Campbell, Madalyn Van Devender and Kennedy Jarrett. Come cheer them on again this Saturday at 12:30 at Lee Hedges stadium when they face Benton. Let’s go Flyers!!
- There will be a meeting for anyone interested in track and field on Thursday during the second half of homeroom in the cafeteria.
- Coats for Kids - Now through November 17th, Porter's Cleaners will be collecting donations of new & gently used coats. There is a drop-off box located in the Loyola office. Last year, with your help, Coats for Kids was able to distribute 1500 coats across our cities!
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 11.15.21 – 11.19.21. https://forms.gle/PJw9mfmsYUPrFuzS6 The deadline to order meals for the week is THURSDAY at 4:00pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
- Service Hour Opportunity - The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is in need of 20 volunteers on Thanksgiving morning to assist with their Turkey Trot 5K. If you are interested, please sign up in the link below:
A Thanksgiving Message from SGA
Loyola Family,
With Thanksgiving approaching we are filled with thoughts of turkey, pumpkin pie, and dressing. It is a time for us to reflect on our lives, but also give to others in our community. SGA, partnering with Catholic Charities of North Louisiana, is sponsoring a food drive from Tuesday, November 9th until Monday, November 15th. The food gathered will go through to Catholic Charities of North Louisiana to support them throughout the Thanksgiving season. We are asking for the below items to be placed in the cardboard boxes that will be located outside of the main office and gym lobby. Thank you in advance for your support to our community during his holiday season.

- The Loyola Uniform Closet is located in the Anderson Building and is accessible to all students and parents during regular school hours. Donations of both new and gently used uniforms are welcome at any time. Blazers are $20 and all other uniforms, including pants, shorts, skirts, ties, polos, Oxford shirts and spirit shirts are $2 each. The closet also has a large assortment of apparel for most Loyola team sports and many clubs. We are also now accepting books that have been used in English and other LCP courses. Books are being sold for $1 each. Please contact the LPA Uniform Closet Chairperson, Jennifer Henley at 402-3669 or [email protected] if you have any questions or would like assistance finding uniforms for your children.
- The LPA Directories are available to be picked up in the Anderson Building if you have not already gotten yours. Directories may be picked up in the Anderson Building. If your student will be picking it up, let them know to come before or after school or during lunch to pick up your directory. The Anderson Building hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm and Fridays 7:30 am - 3:00 pm.
