December 3, 2021THE ADVENT SEASON
On the first Sunday of Advent, the Gospel reading reminded us to be “vigilant at all times.” The Scriptures tell us that we should not let the anxieties of life cause us to become weary as we wait for the Lord’s return. Let this season of Advent be a time of change and new beginnings. Let it be a time of joy and a time of hope for each of us. Only God can take the broken pieces of our lives and put them back together again. Through this Advent, we must listen to the angels who sing- Glory, Glory, and Glory to the newborn King! Come, Lord Jesus.

Announcements for Friday, December 3, 2021 - Today is an A day.- Father Raney and Father Daigle will be offering Confession in the Residence Building Chapel all day today.
- Monday is FAiTH Day! Students who have purchased this year's FAiTH shirt may wear it on Monday with jeans.
- Student volunteers are needed for a December 18 community project called Wreaths Across America. Volunteers will help place a wreath on 800 veterans graves at the Greenwood Cemetery (on Stoner Ave. not far from LCP). The ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. Register to volunteer online at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/.
- Great news! We can now visit Garden Park in person! If you are interested in visiting Garden Park right after school this Wednesday December 1st and next Wednesday December 8th, please let Ms. Barker know soon because we are limited to 12 students. Also, don't forget your holly jolly Christmas accessories to cheer up the residents! We hope to see you there!
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 12.06.2021 – 12.10.2021 . https://forms.gle/TnG3XVQFZ5dyG6Q57 The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if not picked up. **Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up.
- FAiTH needs your help! Do you remember the excitement of opening up a new toy on Christmas morning? FAiTH wants to help hundreds of children experience that same excitement and joy! If Loyola students can bring in 300 NEW toys for ages 3-14, by THIS FRIDAY, December 3, we will ALL have spirit shirt jeans days for the two days of exams, December 16 and 17. Please help spread the excitement! Toys may be brought to Ms. Hymel's office or the main office, by Friday.
- Service Hour Opportunity - The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is hosting it's Fundraiser “ The Red Kettle Run” 5K & 10K this Saturday at Betty Virginia Park. They are in need of volunteers for the water stop and corner marshals. They need approximately 6 volunteers who would work in pairs. The hours would be 7:15 - 9:15. Please see Mrs. Watts in the office if you are interested.
