TODAY the SPD Special Response Team will be running a scenario at the field house at the Messmer Athletic Complex. There will be no live ammunition utilized as this is a training scenario. Access to the Athletic Complex is closed through noon on Thursday and access is limited through the remainder of the day. There will be signs marking that a training scenario is in process however, we wanted to notify you in advance so you would not be alarmed.

Tuesday night was a BIG night for both boys and girls basketball teams defeating Byrd! The girls team won 49-35 with Emily Rowe leading with 24 points. Savannah Smith had 11 points. The boys team won 56-45 as Cage Van Norman led with 18 points. Eli Baker had 16 points and Trevor Cox had 10 points. Way to go, Flyers!

Established in 1958, the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) mission is to seek out, recognize, and develop leadership potential in young people. At the seminars, sophomores interact with community leaders from various sectors such as business, technology, education, government, arts, and science. HOBY participants get a realistic look at their nation, its people and their role in the world community while meeting people their age from all over the state. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
Core Class Semester Exam Schedule is Below: (Please note that other semester exams are scheduled for Dec. 12-13 or 14-15 depending on the student's teacher and class schedule. These days will be regular school days.)
Semester exams are Dec. 18-20. Students are dismissed after they complete their exams. Monday, December 18 8:00-9:15 a.m. | English 9:30-10:45 a.m. | Science Tuesday, December 19 8:00-9:15 a.m. | Math 9:30-10:45 a.m. | Social Studies Wednesday, December 20 Wednesday is an exam make-up day. Make-up exams only begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. for those students who were sick (with a doctor's excuse) on the original testing date. All other students will not attend school.

Fr. Raney Johnson, our Diocesan Vocations Director, will be hosting a Quo Vadis Vocations Retreat for young men in high school in the Diocese of Shreveport. The retreat is in Shreveport on December 9th and 10th. Please share this information with the high school aged young men in your parish. Service Hour Opportunity - On December 16, 2023 at 11:00 am, Wreaths Across America will be at Greenwood Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
