December 12, 2023Announcements for Tuesday, December 12, 2023 - Today is an A day.
- The Boys Soccer Team beat Airline this past weekend 4-0. Goals came from Casey Wall (2), Tyler Hornsby and Graham Kyle. Flyers play magnet TONIGHT in the airline tournament at 5:45 at Airline.
- Girls Soccer (V/JV) will play @ Neville tonight beginning at 5:30PM.
- Loyola is holding a Christmas sale of festive 3D printed items through 12/22! Go to (MySchoolBucks) to check out the items. Contact [email protected] with questions or custom requests.
- Want to get in the Christmas Spirit?Loyola Drama Club is hosting a Christmas Caroling fundraiser at the Uptown Rhino on Wednesday the 13th! The fundraiser starts at 1pm and caroling will be from 3-6pm. Come enjoy the Music and don’t forget to mention you are with Loyola! If you are interested in singing along with us please contact Mr. Patton.
- Lyra will be having a bake sale at lunch on Wednesday in front of the cafeteria. We’ll be selling hot chocolate and cookies.

- Art Club Members- Please remember to bring your gifts and gift cards for the Gingerbread House family no later than TODAY. We are still lacking gifts. If you did not sign up to bring something, please do so asap.
- Core Class Semester Exam Schedule is Below: (Please note that other semester exams are scheduled for Dec. 12-13 or 14-15 depending on the student's teacher and class schedule. These days will be regular school days.)
- Semester exams are Dec. 18-20. Students are dismissed after they complete their exams.

Wednesday, December 20
Wednesday is an exam make-up day. Make-up exams only begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. for those students who were sick (with a doctor's excuse) on the original testing date. - Service Hour Opportunity - On December 16, 2023 at 11:00 am, Wreaths Across America will be at Greenwood Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. - Service Hour Opportunity - St. John's is looking for a few mid to high level skilled Smash Bros. players to mentor their Esports club players after school for 1 hour (or a little more) on Wednesday, December 13th & Thursday, December 14th. - Service Hour Opportunity - Volunteers are needed for Christmas in Roseland. Please contact Claire Bissell at 318-938-5402 to sign up. See the attachment for details.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. Joseph Church will be offering “Nativity Nights” Friday nights in December, 5-8 PM, during the advent season to engage kindergarten through 5th graders in the faith. Dinner will be served, and they will have games, activities, and crafts to involve each child in the true meaning of the season.
