Advent can be a great time to reflect upon the first part of the message of Pope Francis' exhortation, The Joy of the Gospel. The heart of what Pope Francis says is contained in the opening sentence of the exhortation: The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus. The Holy Father continues: Those who accept his offer of salvation are set free from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness. With Christ, joy is constantly born anew. In this Exhortation I wish to encourage the Christian faithful to embark upon a new chapter of evangelization marked by this joy… When was the last time you talked to someone about Jesus? This Advent, share your joy in Christ with another. Source: https://onlineministries.creighton.edu/CollaborativeMinistry/Advent/Praying_with_Exhortation-01.html
