Loyola College Prep celebrated Tripp Roemer today as he signed to run Division 1 cross country and track with Furman University. Roemer is a senior at Loyola College Prep and one of the most accomplished runners (track and cross country) in the school’s history.
“Tripp has worked his entire high school career to compete at the next level,” said John LeBlanc, Principal. “His dedication to his sport is remarkable, and we are proud to cheer him on as he competes at Furman.”
Tripp has a long list of accomplishments over his career including LHSAA State Championship Runner Up for Cross Country in 2022 and LHSAA Outdoor State Champion in the 3200 Meter Run (2023).
"Tripp is the ultimate competitor and willing to do whatever it takes to win,” said Sherrod Lewis, Head Track and Field Coach. “He shows up every day and executes his workouts to perfection. He has practice, nutrition and recovery down to a science, and it truly shows at meets especially when the lights are the brightest. I'm extremely proud of him and glad to say that he is the face of the Loyola Track & Field program."
