Last year Loyola College Prep implemented a new test prep course for all students.

Loyola College Prep senior Abbie Anderson was appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy upon her nomination from the United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04).

Last week 44 students were inducted into the National Honor Society.

Three Loyola College Prep students move to the next level in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program and were announced as Finalists in the competition: Maeve Chmielewski, Cooper DeFatta, and Austen Simpson.

Loyola’s ACT Average scores for the Class of 2022 increased by two points this year with jumps in every ACT category. 

Cooper DeFatta was named KTBS Player of the Week!

It’s a great day to be a Flyer! These past couple of years, we’ve increased the number of AP Scholars we have, an indicator of our pursuit for Academic Excellence!

Sixteen Loyola students made the trip to Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 9 to compete in the State Literary Rally on Louisiana State University's campus.

Senior Caroline Henry received Louisiana State University’s President’s Alumni Scholarship for the upcoming year!

Congratulations to Junior Maeve Chmielewski for making a perfect score on her ACT!

The District Literary Rally was held on Saturday, March 12, and Loyola had 50 students compete with 13 of those students winning first place medals in 14 categories.

Congratulations to our 4 Loyola seniors who received invitations to apply for the US Presidential Scholarship: Charlotte Cole, Max Crofton, Caroline Henry, and Leslie Johnson!

Mrs. Pulliam’s enthusiasm for teaching is almost contagious, but for her, it is seeing that same excitement come to life in her students that inspires her each day. 

Congrats to all of our students who recently made the LHSAA All-Academic Composite teams in cross country and volleyball!

Georgia Valero wins top prize at Spanish Spelling Bee.

Junior Theology Teacher, TC Veit, received his second graduate degree this year —  a masters of arts in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Loyola College Prep participated in “Global Connect Day,” an international event that connects classrooms learning a language with a native-speaker “Mystery Guest” from another country. Lina Perez’s AP class had a chance to virtually meet two female students and learn more about them as a part of Global Connect Day.
